I have looked everywhere and cannot find a clear answer, where do I put the title update(tu23) for mw3? The cache folder or what?

I watched a video on mw2 for tu8 modding and get disc unreadable, so I just redownloaded mw2 and have a fresh copy can anyone help get tu8 mods with out getting disc unreadable or link a tutorial?
