Why do you need to see work when it's free? That's the whole point of this. To build a portfolio to show work.

Depending on your skillset / what you want to do:
After Effects: Motion graphics and compositing
Adobe Premiere Pro: Cutting
Final Cut: Don't bother with FXP: ...

Yeah I agree with hoop. Practice practice practice, don't ask for money, and the money will come to you bud.
