If I burn a copy of GTA to a disk and hot swap it with like a cod game and I put the cod game in the xbox would it play GTA or does it have to be a copy of GTA?

I had the same problem but I notice I was using the episodes from liberty city iso when I had the original gta 4.

Go to the pirate bay .com and look up gta iso.
