Nah, we should still buy it.
Why, you ask?
1. When you buy gold you get exclusive access to things like:
Trailers
Demos
DLC
2. With PSN you have to pay for trailers, demos, and apparantly its more money for DLC.
3.With games that use host migration, PSN just carry on with a laggy game.
