I hear they are working on releasing an Xbox slim model by next year but it won't be a new engine or anything like that. Both Sony and MS are sticking to about a 9-10 year plan on this generation. It's really too soon for a console change. Although MS could put a Blu-Ray in their current console and upgrade it's capacity considerably. I don't see that happening though. Sony and Phillips gets a royalty for every drive and disc made in Blu-Ray and MS has no intention of putting anything in their console that would put even a penny in Sony's pocket. To be honest I was shocked to hear Major Nelson buy an Ipad and spend money and endorse an Apple product on his Twitter account. Don't know how Bill Gates feels about that.

Couldn't they name it better than the Xbox 720 ?!

On this year E3 the Xbox 360 Slim will be announced, in Winter Project Natal will Release and next years E3 they will maybe tell us something about a new Xbox.

I dont think they will release it.

I honestly don't want a new console. I like my 360 and I don't really want to buy all new games and harddrives and such.

if they call it a 720 a might do a 180 right out the shop
