ive heard ps3 is much better quality than the 360 so after 4 years of playing 360 and going through 5 xboxs in that time i decided to finally buy a ps3. i had the ps3 for less than a month and the cd drive stopped working (it actually stopped spinning the CDs). i bought this brand new from best buy on March 7th so needless to say it was the slim version.

anyone had similar problems with the slims or are they, for the most part, decent systems?

ive talked to a few people and they sound surprised that it happened to me. i even had a gamestop manager thats been at gamestop for 5+ years even say he was surprised because he has never heard anything bad happen to the slims.

Yeah that's pretty rare maybe you just have **** luck if you went through 5 xboxs I suggest google.

Nope. I've had mine since July and I've had no problems what so ever.

I have the fat and I haven't d a problem with it. May've you just got a bad system. That happens from time to time

ive only had my ps3 for like 3 weeks but no problems with it and i sold my xbox after 4 years and i went through so many bcuz of rr or disc tray

hm thats weird. but i had 30 days to return it and today was day 29 so i got really lucky. but best buy returned it for me with no problems maybe i just got unlucky and got a defective one. hopefully this one will work good.
