For which device? From xbox to HD PVR must be what you meant? thats not the problem I have, I have the cable that I got when I bought my xbox slim, which is the official xbox Composite AV cable.. will that not work? :/
The problem I have is connecting a composite - vga cable to my monitor.
What kind of composite cable do I need?

The xbox slim composite av cable has three different colors. Red, White, and Yellow.
Will that work ?

bump for answers.
for the solution with my monitor, even though my monitor doesnt have sound (i use a turtle beach x41 connected directly to my xbox) will I still be able to get sound on my recording?
Do I even need to have cables going from the hauppauge to the monitor? cant i just have seperate ones going from the xbox's hdmi port into my monitor while having my xbox's AV port connected to the PVR?
