If I start Garry's Mod, it tries to load it for a while until an error message comes up saying 'Failed to load the Launcher DLL: %1 is not a valid Win32 application.'
Any help would be very much appreciated.

I have actually solved this problem now. It was caused by a corrupt file in the bin folder probably downloaded on a fake multi-player server. But if anyone has it then here is what to do:
1. Find your Steam folder in the C drive, Program Files.
2. Go to steamapps.
3. Your User name
4. Garry's Mod
5. Rename 'bin' to 'bin2'. this means that GMod thinks that the bin is gone, and it creates a new one without the corrupt folder in.
