Ok so awhile back i got RROD on my jtag from a KV i believe. I am not sure if it was just the JTAG itself that overheated or if it was the KV. Does anyone know if a reball or reflow will fix this problem? Or do i need a nandx if it was something to do with the KV?

What's the error code on the jtag?

You should get the RROD error code, so we can pin point the issue down to the tee.

If it's from a KV you can fix it yourself within a matter of minutes.

K listen closely m8.
Unplug the fan.
Turn on the xbox, wait till it overheats (Until it gets 2 rrod) Than unplug it and let it cool down than turn it on and whala!
Make sure you plug in the fan after letting it cool down
This is a temporary fix, i do this all the time

I have already done this once today and it didnt work. I just stopped the fan and let it overheat and it shuts off on its own. then let it cool off and when i turned it back on it was RROD

Really?
Weird,
Make "YOU" unplug the xbox right when it has 2 rrod.
If not it'll need a reball
