--THIS IS NOT FAKE!-- (in other words, its real)
So far 10 successes and 0 fails
Please have faith in this tutorial. I did not make it "extra hard" to complete on purpose. Use a friends information.
What you will need:
A prepaid Microsoft point card (I used 1600) (unused)
A phone
A non malicious reputation w/ XBL customer support.
A trusted friend's information
1) Ask your friend for his information (gamertag, e-mail, name, address, phone number, console serial [just in case]). Alternatively, get him to call up for you.
2) Redeem your code on your profile. I used a 1600MS code.
3) Call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX, navigate your way to accounts an billing. Any information they ask for, provide your friend's information. *Edit* You may provide your own email WHEN THEY ASK WHERE TO SEND THE CODE so they may email you the code. Just make sure that your email you give them is NOT linked to any of your XBL accounts.
4) Talk to the Xbox Rep. (S)He will ask you what the issue you are facing is. Tell them you bought a 1600MS point card from Gamestop and when you tried to redeem it, it said: Code already redeemed, please enter an unused code. (*that is not the exact error message)
5) They will ask you for information such as your gamertag, email, and point card number. Answer them all as if you were your friend also if this is the only account on your xbox. say YES. You are trying to make it seem like someone redeemed the point card before you, aka, stole it. Again, answer all with your friend's information. Answer all questions they ask you.
6) You might be transferred several times. I was transferred twice after I got on the phone with the first rep.
7) After they navigate you to the "Specialist" (and apologize for the "terribly" long wait), he or she will ask you for more specific details. Things like this include: Do you have a receipt (Yes). What are the security codes on the back of the prepaid card (he or she will tell you where to locate them)
8) Finally, the lady or gentleman will tell you that they are going to send you another card in your email within 5-10 business days.
9) Have your friend tell you when the email arrives. Have them give you the code. This is why they have to be trusted. Enter it on your account.
