TTG_Material wrote Yes Religion makes people fight but that is other religions fighting each other. Not Christians fighting christians. And a book? It is called believe. I need to stop before i get a little carried away. A BOOK? That pisses me off right there and i won't go any further. I did not ask if you believed in god. Keep on topic and no more "I don't believe in god" because i don't care just stay on topic as of right now.

Well religion be it fake or not, the main reason ppl beleive is because they want it to be real, they want it soo bad, but when the day comes who knows

Well.....i was at a state in life where i thought he did not exist. Where he was a fake. But then....i thought about it. Religion keeps some countries sane. And without it every human being would just go nuts! But the only reason we fight over religion is because it all happened in the same place. Same time. And with different stories. The 3 main religions are Judaism, Muslim, and Christianity. Jews and Christians have the same exact story except Jews do not believe that Jesus rose from the dead and died for our sins. They just believe in God. Which is also why did Hitler kill them? They are almost the same...but back on topic. They do fight but Muslims are a crazy religion. Killing others to go to heaven....i am not going to judge them any longer. Let's just get back on topic.

I don't think it should be taken out because of the principles this nation was founded on. And I am a devout Christian too

But there is too much arguement in this topic about who is right and wrong. So here is my quick opinion
And neither side can say that they "win" or are "right". Think about it. (I am talking from non byast stand point but I am a Christian for the record).

For those who believe in evolution and no God, they have some proof to back them up. But what are the odds that life would have began? There would have to be SO many different atoms and molecules linked together in the perfect posisitions to randomly create life and it start evolving. (And I know about this because I studied it in Biology not too long ago). It's seemingly impossible that life could've randomly began.

As for Christians, we don't have any physical proof that God exists. All we have is (according to everyone who is not a Christian) a "book", what we consider the holy. We also have faith that God created everything. People however crave proof naturally and will reject it. But if you look around at everything in nature, it makes sense that it wasn't just randomly sparked out of nothing and evolved for trillions of years.

So pick something and have faith in it. Whether it be religion, evolution, etc. you have to choose something. Whatever it is I respect your desicion. I am sorry for off-topic just wanted to give my opinion on this matter.

Well, normally i get into big debates about religeon. But since i respect you guys ill just state my point.

I am Athiest. To all who are ill informed... Athiests DONT WORSHIP SATAN. We just don't believe in god satan ect. for one reason or another. I don't think it is completely correct for God to be in the pledge since America is a diverse country. It would be liike saying One Nation United Through Christianity. Its basically putting down other beliefs.

But the pledge has been like this for so long, i DO NOT think it should be taken out. I mean as it is in school they cant make you recite the Pledge. I am not a stubborn Athiest though, i respect the country and stand up and say the Pledge, the whole thing.

Well that is where my standpoint is. If you have any questions or comments just reply. Dont worry about offending me or anything.. Its all cool.

like i said, no one is really "right" until the end of the world or when we die. Then we find out. And not everything can be explained by logic (God creating everything). How do you explain the force of gravity? It's the attraction between to masses. Scientists don't know why it's there, it just is. So you just have to choose something, and hopefully you will respect other people's descions.

I am a Christian. And I'm not afraid to say it. It should stay in the pledge. If athiests dont want it in the pledge then they dont have to say it. Simple. No need to reteach the pledge because of one Word!!
