At first it wasn't slow, however after installing all these packages and stuff in cydia and installing games, it was.

i have a first gen ipod and its been jailbroken sense day one. dont even know how the performance was out of the box

Yes. Safari is pittyfull. Thats why I go back to regular. Except when I had A $s on the top of the screen (Jailbreak thing) it stayed there :/
