Yeah mine does.
But the pros outweigh the cons so it's with it.
I really don't remember what it was like before I did it because it has been so long

Yes, it does slow down and lag a bit

Depends what you do to it after you jail break it
Custom themes and modifications will lead to SB crashing.

Try only using one or two customizations in winterboard.
then respring, then check processes.

At first it wasn't slow, however after installing all these packages and stuff in cydia and installing games, it was.

i have a first gen ipod and its been jailbroken sense day one. dont even know how the performance was out of the box

Yes. Safari is pittyfull. Thats why I go back to regular. Except when I had A $s on the top of the screen (Jailbreak thing) it stayed there :/
