Xlink Kai Setup

What up TTG members! Today im giving you guys a tutorial to set up Xlink Kai and your internet for Xlink Kai. This will help Jtaggers connect to other Jtaggers through System link and will also help SOME people on Retail connect to Jtaggers through system link, that would require a Ping Below 30 for a retail to connect to a Jtag. If you are on your Jtag connecting to another Jtagger Ping does not matter ONLY if you have the 30 Ms Ping patch.

*This also can be used on a Retail Xbox to connect to Jtag Lobby's

I did make this Tut, Nothing was copy/pasted.

What you will need

-Xlink Kai - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

-Port Forward Setup Static IP [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

-Port Forward Checker - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

-A Brain - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Tutorial

Step 1:

For This first step you simply are going to need to download Xlink Kai, Which can be found at the top of the Description.

Step 2:

Next you are going to want to make your IPv4 Address Static. This is because when you restart your router when you forward ports this will often change.. Messing up everything you did. So with the Port Forward Setup Static IP program found at the top you are going to want to do this. First Open up the Program and Click Make it Static (You may loose internet connection for a few seconds). Now your IPv4 should be 192.168.1.150 and it should stay that way.

Step 3:

Now after that you are going to want to Port Forward. Which i am sure many of you have done before. First open up your LAN IP in your internet browser. Mine is 192.168.1.1 yours is most likely the same. If its not you can open up CMD type in "ipconfig" (without quotes) and it should be listed under Default Gateway.

Once you hit Enter you should get a box that will ask for a username and password. Here are common ones.

Username = admin
Password = password

Username = admin
Password = admin

Step 4:

Once you are at your Router manager you are going to want to goto Port forward/Port trigger. Once you have done that you want to Forward the Ports 30000 to Server ip 192.168.1.150 These you will want set with TCP/UDP. Its hard to show you exactly how when i do not have your Router. Netgear routers will want to click "Add Custom Service". If your not net gear just search for your Port Forwarding tab. I know Linksys has it in the "Gaming and Application" Tab.

Step 5:

Once you are done with that you are going to want to Restart your Router for these ports to take affect. So once your finished goto your Router and unplug it and wait 15 seconds and then plug it back in.

Step 6:

Return to your computer and open up the Port Checker Tool. Type in the port 30000 and click it for TCP; It should say its OPEN. Now check the UDP with port 30000; This should also say OPEN. (If it dosnt say open goto step 7. If it says open Skip to Step 8.

Step 7:

If you port is not Open then you did one of two things wrong. One is you did not Port Forward properly so go back and check the earlier steps. Two is your IP on your computer was not Static. If this was not Static you can check by clicking your Start button>Run>CMD. Once your in CMD type in "ipconfig" (Without quotes) and your IPv4 Address should say "192.168.1.150" If it does not your IPv4 did not Static Right. So try it again.

Step 8:

Once you are all setup up you are pretty much done. But first open up Xlink Kai and sign in/sign up. Click the magnifying glass located at the top. Once clicked you should click on a little folder picture and it might say no Consoles are Detected. Dont worry, Now you want Turn on your Console and goto a system link and search for a game. When your searching for a game your console should now be Detected by Xlink Kai. If its not try clicking the Refresh Button a couple times in the System link Find game. (If your Stupid here are some pictures).

Once that is done your Console should now be Found and Configured on Xlink Kai. Have fun in System Link Lobbys and/or Games before there release

I hope my Tutorial was very helpful. Notice that you may not be able to connect to games if your Xbox is not Wired directly to your router along with your computer. It is possible for it to be done Wireless because i my self have done it. But you need VERY good connection.

I Hope his helped
