Alright i know that my computer is complete trash.
And i cannot afford to buy a new upgraded one. But can you guys help me out a bit?

I have gotten the PC game Portal and when i run it it says i need Directx 8.0.
I have check for my version and this is what i found.

It pretty clearly states above that i have Directx 9.0c
Last time i checked 9.0 is above 8.0 so I believe i'm missing something?
Any help please?

i think you can but you just need to run it at the lowest performance

the game will also lag a lot and will crash very often

i would not recommend it

Ok so what exactly would i need? (Other than a new computer)

Like would i need a new graphics card or something?

do whatever you can play this game... Its the best on steam.
