alright first thing take ur disk out the disk tray and leave it empty with nuthing in so now close it itll make a buzzing noise open it and put ur disk in i think thatll solve ur problem

This has happened to me before. Easy thing to do is to buy a new drive. One can be had for around $30. You can get around any flashing by buying one that is identical model to the one you have and just replace the board that's inside the drive.

Listen to mev96
Put in a disk turn it on. Then when it says open tray. Take out the disc and slam the disk drive shut and turn of your xbox it will make a buzzing noise
Then Turn on your xbox by opening the tray first then put a disk back in and it shall work.
I have this on my xbox
