Okay, this has worked for me so try it out =D Go to expertzone.microsoft.com complete Halo3 Odst course and you get a beta code. the catch is you have to work with a microsoft partner aka a best buy , a coperate location, staples ect. Im not sure if you can fake sign up but good luck! I hope this helps =)

INSTRUCTIONS:

-Go to expertzone.microsoft.com
-Make an account, using ur homail account if have one
-On the upper part theres a bar that says: Windows,office,xbox and games,zune etc
HIGHLIGHT XBOX AND GAMES, from there HIGHLIGHT XBOX GAMES, then choose TRAINING
-Choose Halo 3 ODST from the list given, there at the lower part is an option that says "take this game course" CLICK THAT and thats it

take the course and when the beta starts you will get your code or 1-2 weeks before
