My xbox will not read any disks and it just says OPEN TRAY bt it will go on XBL and play demos
is there anything i can do to maybe get it to work without spending alot of money?

Try blowing in the disk tray. There may be dust on the reader.

i have never heard of this problame before mabey you should email or call xbox customer support hope i helped

I used to get this problem all the time, and I know a lot of others who get it aswell, you have to just keep turning the x box off and on until it reads the disk, eventually i got annoyed at doing that so the real solution was to go and buy an elite

happens to me but i get two ticking noises and it dont read so i punch the fck out of it and it reads

yh mine does that sometimes only mine comes up with japenese writing and my i brought my xbox from the game shop in the Uk but it still comes up with japenese writing lol, all i got to do it turn my xbox off by the switch and it works.
