I say: Golden Retriever.

I have one and she is great. They are very good listeners, they are great with children and in general everyone. They are basically already trained to play fetch. Most of all, they are extremely loving and always want to be close to the family. I strongly suggest getting one. Plus they are super cute as puppies.

german shepard i think, i had a lab once and loved it but i think a german shepard is better, really anyone with training from birth will be great so just go with your gut i guess.
