i need help with jailbreaking

im trying to use snowbreeze but im open to using any other program

i cant open the ipsw and its opens with winRAR

i need to know how to fix it so i can use it please help

Have you extracted the ipsw?

What version is your ipod, it may be to new
if you havent got the same firmware ipsw that your ipod is, it will not load

For example:

If your ipod is firmware, 3.2.1 and you have your ipod connected and you tried to open a 3.1.1, it will fail,

Go o your folder options the go to the tab called view and tick the option that says hide known file extensions then add the .ipsw and it should work!

my ipod is gen 3 and is on ios 4.2.1 but the problem is the icon on my computer opens with winRAR and i was watching youtube and saw that they had it fully extracted but mine wont

dude dont use that to jailbreak on 4.2.1 use greenposion! go to greenposion.com
