Ok make sure all Splitters and everythin is plugged in. Search on youtube how to setup pinnale studio set it up and record. Or you can search how to record xbox 360 game with dazzle

i have the HD comonents plugged in to my tv, red white yellow in my dazzle and xbox set to SD

Hmmmmmmm you should try with both for best quality it might actually make it work too, or your S cable could be broken

what my cables work fine, it works with my friends laptop ?

Mine does this quite frequently. Unplug your dazzle and plug it back in, close pinnacle studios and re-open, simple things like that. If that doesnt work make sure all OTHER usb ports except for your dazzle are unplugged, sometimes that is a common problem for me. Also try using pinnacle studios 12, or at least DL the trial for it
