There are 24 weapons in Brink, this means there are many possibilities for personalization. However, what you can carry directly relies on your character, as bigger guns require your character to have a bigger Body Type.
All weapons are usable by both the Security and the Resistance and new weapons can be unlocked by completing Challenges. All weapons are capable of performing a melee strike, this takes the form of either a gun butt for two-handed weapons or a knife strike for Handguns.

Handguns:
Handguns are one-handed sidearms in Brink that are only available as secondary weapons. This includes standard semi-automatic pistols, high damage revolvers and fully-automatic machine pistols.
Since they are so lightweight, any Body Type is capable of wielding a handgun. As such, they are the only secondary weapon available to Light Body Types.

The advantage of a Handgun over other weapons is the fact that players carrying one also carry a knife in their off-hand. A knife strike deals more damage per hit than a two-handed weapon's gun butt but does not deliver the knockdown effect. A knife strike deals roughly half damage to a Medium Body Type.

Pistols

Kalt
The Kalt is a semi-automatic Pistol in Brink.
Like all Pistols, it allows the player to use a knife for melee, which does much more damage than the normal gun butt hit, but does not knock down the opponent like a gun butt does.
In the picture to the right, the Kalt is equipped with a silencer, which reduces the gun's damage, hence why the damage bar is colored red.

Trivia

The name of the Kalt is a play on the name of the real gun manufacturing company Colt.
The bullet ejector port is usually seen on the left side of the Kalt in gameplay vids, but in the Customization menu (see above) the port is on the right.
The Kalt resembles the M1911, which is also made by the Colt Manufacturing Co.

Sea Eagle
The Sea Eagle is a semi-automatic pistol in Brink.
In a leaked PAX East video, the Sea Eagle was shown to have a 10-round magazine; however, it is unknown if the Sea Eagle had the 10-round magazine due to a magazine enhancement.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Trivia

The Sea Eagle's name seems to be a reference to the popular Israel Military Industries and Magnum Research Desert Eagle. To be more specific, considering that it has 10 rounds in a stock magazine, the Sea Eagle may be a spinoff of the .357 Magnum round version of the Desert Eagle.
However, the appearance of the Sea Eagle seems similar to that of Smith & Wesson Sigma handgun, with a flashlight Bottom Attachment that seems integral to the Sea Eagle's structure.

Tokmak
The Tokmak is a Pistol in Brink.
The Tokmak seems to fill the role of the large-capacity pistol in Brink, as such it doesn't deal as much damage as the other Pistols but compensates for this by allowing the player a higher margin of error.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Trivia

The Tokmak appears to be heavily based off a current production Bul Cherokee.
The name Tokmak seems to be derived from both the TT-30 and the Pistolet Makarova, otherwise known as the Tokarev and the Makarov pistols, respectively. Thus, the name Tokmak is an amalgamation of the two creators' names.
However, the name could also be derived from the word "Tomahawk", a type of axe originally used by Native Americans.
Building on that, it may also refer to the fact that the Beretta 92-series pistols are sometimes referred to as "The Italian Tomahawk".

Revolver

Ritchie
The Ritchie Revolver is one of two revolvers in Brink.
It appears to be a very heavy revolver with high damage. Every time the Ritchie has been shown firing, there is a very noticeable kick back as the player's aim is momentarily sent into the sky.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Caesar

The Caesar is an alternate model for the Ritchie which is only available by pre-ordering the Psycho Pack.
It takes the form of a top-breaking revolver based on the IZHMECH MP412 REX. The model is much smaller than the Ritchie, but is statistically identical.

Trivia

The Ritchie is named after Guy Ritchie, the man who wrote and directed the movie Revolver.

Machine Pistols

Belgo
The Belgo is a Machine Pistol in Brink.
Not Much is known about the Belgo Machine Pistol, it is a Handgun and will be available to all Body Types and will have a knife for its melee attack instead of using the butt of the gun.

The gun will most likely be innacurate and not have far range while shooting fast (with a small magazine) and having a fast equipping speed, a fast reloading speed, and a fast running speed, it will also most likely have low damage as it is a pistol, but therefore it should have, as mentioned before, a fast running speed; a default for all known pistols. It has about 20 rounds per magazine.

Hockler

The Hockler is an alternate model for the Belgo which is only available by pre-ordering the Spec Ops Pack.
It takes the form of a modern machine pistol based on the Heckler and Koch MP7. The model is roughly the same size as the Belgo, and is statistically identical.

Trivia

The Belgo is based on the VBR-Belgium. Its name appears to be a reference to its real-life counterpart's country of origin.

Light Weapons
Light Weapons are small, two-handed weapons available to all Body Types. This includes fully automatic pistol-caliber submachine guns and high accuracy rifles.
This is the only primary weapon category available to Light Body Types. All other Body Types can also utilise weapons of this category as secondary weapons.

They take the form of light, supportive weapons aimed to support hit and run tactics. Although they don't deal the same damage as weapons from the Medium or Heavy categories, they allow the user more freedom of movement to flank and harass the enemy.

Submachine Guns

Bulpdaun
The Bulpdaun is an SMG which means it is a light weapon available to all Body Types. The Bulpdaun SMG has very low damage and range while having a very high rate of fire, stability, and equip speed and an above average accuracy.
In a Get SMART video, the Bulpdaun is seen to have 27 rounds in a standard magazine, with 162 reserve rounds.

The Bulpdaun SMG is unlocked after completing the challenge "Be more Objective **"

DOOM Skins

There is a 'UAC' (Security) and a 'Cacodemon' (Resistance) skin which are only available by pre-ordering the DOOM Pack. They do not affect the Bulpdaun's statistics in any way.

Trivia

The Bulpdaun SMG is a bullpup style SMG and has a similar appearance to that of the real-world Magpul PDR

CARB-9
The CARB-9 is a weapon that will appear in Brink.
Being an SMG, it is considered a light weapon, and can be utilized by all body types. In Get SMART videos, the CARB-9 is shown to have 30 rounds in a stock magazine.

According to the Official Game Guide, the CARB-9 does the most damage out of all the SMGs (23 damage), and has a healthy 30 round magazine making it the perfect weapon for those who like to "spray 'n pray". On the downside, it has a reload time of 2 seconds, one of the slowest reloads in the SMG category. Also, with a scope, it can be one of the most accurate SMGs,

Fallout Skins

There is a 'Vault 101' (Security) and a 'FNV Vault Boy' (Resistance) skin which are only available by pre-ordering the Fallout Pack. They do not affect the CARB-9's statistics in any way.

Trivia

It appears to be based on the Kel-Tec PLR-16, which is based on the AR-15 Carbine. The stock appears to be from another weapon in the same family of guns, the Kel-Tec SU-16B

Galactic
The Galactic is a SMG in Brink.
Similar in appearance to its real-world counterpart, the Heckler and Koch UMP-45, the Galactic SMG has been confirmed from the E3 Customization video, and a screenshot of the SMG has been provided.

Get SMART videos have shown the Galactic to have 45 bullets in a standard magazine.

According to the Official Game Guides, the Galactic does the least damage (17 damage), and has the slowest reload (2.23 seconds) of all the SMGs. Although not official, the Galactic may have high ratings in range and accuracy inorder to balance out this weapons low damage and slow reload.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Trivia

The Galactic is based on the H&K UMP45, UMP standing for Universal Machine Pistol. Both "universal" and "galactic" are descriptions of a range in space.

Kross
The Kross is a submachine gun in Brink.
The Kross is a Light weapon, thus making it usable by every body type. Judging by its performance, the Kross is a firearm that will be unlocked fairly early in the game. The kross submachine gun has been the most showed weapon in gameplay videos.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Performance

he Kross' weakness is that does very minimal damage, requiring at least half a magazine in order to incapacitate smaller bodytypes (though whether or not this rating has been improved in more recent builds is unknown). However, the Kross makes up for this shortcoming with an extremely high rate of fire alongside low recoil and bullet spread while on full auto.
These two factors, make the Kross primarily a close-range combat weapon. In recent trailers, the Kross was shown to have forty rounds stock , but a PAX East video shows the Kross with only seventy shots in a drum magazine, thus hinting that the stock magazine ammunition count has been lowered to thirty-five.

Trivia

The Kross is one of the first weapons shown in the game, first seen in the Container City gameplay. It is also the most commonly seen gun in trailers and publicity stills.
The Kross is based on the TDI Vector. The Vector has a recoil-compensating system known as the Kriss Super V, which is the inspiration for the name of the Kross.

Tampa
The Tampa is a SMG used in Brink. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Trivia

It appears to be based on the Steyr TMP, sharing similarities in appearance, and technically in name (as Tampa contains the letters t, m, and p). However, the big difference between them is that the Tampa is an SMG, while the TMP is a machine pistol.

Light Rifles

Drognav
The Drognav is the futuristic Brink equivalent of a modern-day Dragunov (without the scope).
Judging by its classification, the Drognav is light enough to be equipped by any class, and features excellent range, accuracy, and stability. Considering the Drognav's low ammo count, it is probably a semi-automatic weapon. Unlike in other shooters, one shot to the head is not a one shot kill unless they are a light body type. Because of this in Brink sniper rifles are used more for support.

The Drognav's statistics make it a better long-range weapon, suited for snipers. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Trivia

The name Drognav is inspired by the Dragunov; however, despite the name, the Drognav actually bears no resemblance to the Dragunov at all, instead having more of the appearance of the DSR-1

Barnett
The Barnett is a light rifle available in Brink.
Unlike the Drognav, which is a semi-automatic light rifle, the Barnett is a bolt-action. This means that the Barnett greatly sacrifices firing rate (as it must lock and load the next bullets) for even better damage, range, and accuracy.

Unlike all other Weapons in the game, the Barnett is capable of delivering one-hit kills unbuffed when shooting opponents in the head. It is possible for the Barnett to kill a Light Body Type when shot in the chest and Medium Body type when shot in the head. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Trivia

The Barnett is a reference to the maker of the infamous M82 and M95 sniper rifles; however, its appearance resembles that of a Mauser SR-93.
The Shooting Sound is also the the Sound of a Barrett Sniper Rifle.
The Barnett is also being used in a Tralier.

Medium Weapons

Medium Weapons are two-handed weapons available to Medium and Heavy Body Types. This includes automatic assault rifles, powerful close-quarter shotguns and portable grenade launchers.
Medium Body Types are able to utilise weapons of this category as primary weapons. Heavy Body Types can use them as both primary and secondary weapons.

These weapons sit in the middle of the damage scale and suit a mixed playstyle. As such, these weapons are more flexible than other weapon types as they support both mobility to get to and from objectives and damage output to deal with head-to-head combat.

Assault Rifles

Euston
The Euston is an assault rifle in Brink, meaning that it will only be accessible by the Medium and Heavy bodytypes.
In a video containing some leaked gameplay, the Euston was shown to have 28 rounds per magazine, with 56 reserve rounds.

With a double drum magazine, it has 56 rounds with 140 in reserve. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Trivia

The Euston's appearance is similar to that of the real-life Colt M4A1 assault rifle.
The Euston's name can be traced through this similarity. The Colt M4A1, as well as its sibling the M16, are both built off of the ArmaLite AR-15 assault rifle. The original designer of the ArmaLite AR-15 is Eugene Stoner; thus, the name Euston is an amalgamation of the first syllables of the designer's names.

FRKN-3K
The FRKN-3K is an assault rifle from Brink.
In leaked PS3 beta shots, the FRKN-3K was shown to have 24 rounds in a standard magazine, with 144 reserve rounds.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Trivia

The FRKN-3K is one of the only weapons in the game to fire in bursts.
The name can be read as "frekkin' 'eck". There's also a small similarity to the FN F2000's name.
The basis for this weapon however is the real world French Assault Rifle, the FAMAS.

Gerund
The Gerund is an assault rifle that has been known ever since the Container City Walkthroughs.
Being an assault rifle, the Gerund is limited to the Heavy and Medium body types. Judging from the PAX 2011 and PS3 beta videos, in addition to videos displaying the Aquarium level, the Gerund has the most ammunition out of all of the assault rifles, with thirty rounds per magazine and sixty reserve rounds.

The Gerund can equip Front, Bottom, Magazine, and Top Attachments.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Trivia

The Gerund is most likely named after the M1 Garand. However, the Gerund's appearance is based on its later successor, the M14 MCS, a chassis mod of the original M14 rifle.

Rhett
The Rhett is an Assault Rifle available in Brink.
In PAX East videos, the Rhett was shown to have 25 rounds in a standard magazine. Compared to the other Assault Rifles in Brink The Rhett has very high damage in place of some accuracy and stability.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Trivia

The Rhett resembles the real-world SIG 551 SWAT assault rifle.
The naming of the Rhett is a pun on its real-life counterpart as well. The SIG 551 is an assault rifle; hence, SIG AR. By adding "Rhett" after SIG AR, the phrase is "SIG AR Rhett", pronounced "cigarette".

Rokstedi
The Rokstedi is an Assault Rifle in Brink.
Medium and Heavy body types will have access to this weapon, Heavy body types will be able to have it as a primary and secondary weapon, while it will only be available as a primary weapon for a Medium body type.

The Rokstedi's redeeming feature is the fact that it does more damage per shot and has slightly more accuracy than other known assault rifles, in exchange for a slower rate of fire, decreased stability, and a slower equip speed.

In a leaked video from PAX East, the Rokstedi appears to be a semi-automatic rifle with only 15 rounds in a stock magazine. The picture to the right is of the E3 version of Brink.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Trivia

Although the name Rokstedi appears to be a pun on the words "rock steady" which is also a running cadence in the U.S. Military.
The Rokstedi bears great resemblance to the FN SCAR-H both cosmetically and performance-wise. The SCAR has high power and accuracy thanks to its ability to utilize either 7.62x51 NATO rounds or 7.62x39mm M43 rounds; in addition, the Rokstedi's iron sights are similar to those of the real SCAR-H.

Shotguns

Mossington

The Mossington is a pump-action shotgun featured in Brink.
It is considered to be a medium weapon, making it available exclusively to Medium and Heavy body types. This powerful weapon has six rounds unmodified, but suffers from a long loading time.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Trivia

The name Mossington is presumably an amalgam between the Mossberg and the Remington Arms companies.
The receiver bears a resemblance to Mossberg receivers. Interestingly though, the stock appears to resemble an M14 Enhanced Battle Rifle sliding variant.

Grenade Launchers

Lobster
The Lobster is a grenade launcher featured in Brink.
It is a breech-loaded one-shot grenade launcher. It appears to be based on the Brgger + Thormet GL-06. In the Brink Cinematic video, the Lobster launches rockets instead of grenades.

Unlike the EZ-Nade, the Lobster appears to be a Medium Weapon, allowing it to be used by both Heavies and Mediums.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Trivia

The Lobster's name is most likely a pun on the word "lob", which is usually what grenade launchers do, "lob grenades".

Heavy Weapons
Heavy Weapons are large, two-handed weapons available only to Heavy Body Types. This includes full length light machine guns, repeating semi-automatic shotguns and portable automatic grenade launchers.
Due to their size and weight, these weapons can only be used as primary weapons and only be used by Heavy Body Types. All other Body Types will not be able to equip or pick them up, despite early screenshots and art.

These are large, heavy weapons that specialise in damage output. They enable combatants wielding them to charge into battle and force the enemy to either retreat or face heavy resistance. However due to their weight, players using them will usually be the last to the battle.

Machine Guns

Chinzor
The Chinzor is a machine gun available in Brink.
The Chinzor has 100 rounds in a stock magazine, with 100 spare.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Trivia

It appears to be based on the real-life Knight's Armament ChainSAW, a concept machinegun developed around the KAC Stoner 98 LMG. The name is also likely a reference to this system.

Maximus
The Maximus is a machine gun found in Brink.
The A Matter of Class trailer shows that this gun has 75 rounds in its currently equipped magazine, with a maximum of 150 spare rounds.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Trivia

The Maximus's name is a parody of the Maxim Machine gun.
It could also be a reference to its inspiration, the Fabrique National Minimi light machine gun.

Gotlung
The Gotlung is a Heavy weapon in Brink, specifically a minigun, and is one of the three Heavy Machine guns in the game.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Trivia

The Gotlung's name is a reference to the famous Gatling gun; however, it appears to be based on either the XM214 "Microgun" (a 5.56x45mm minigun) or the Dillon M134 Minigun (a 7.62x51mm minigun).
It is impossible to aim down the sights with the Gotlung, as it has no iron sights.

Shotguns

Hjammerdeim
There are no attachments whatsoever for this weapon. The Hjammerdeim is a shotgun featured in Brink.
A professional military-grade weapon, the Hjammerdeim has low accuracy, low mobility, high damage, and a low rate of fire. The semi-automatic shotgun eight shots, and a clip reload. Compared to the Mossington Shotgun, it has a slower reload time, but two more shots.

It was recently confirmed that the Hjammerdeim is a Heavy Weapon in Brink. This makes sense as with both a fast reload and semi-automatic firing mode this weapon could be extremely powerful.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Trivia

The Hjammerdeim is most likely based on the SRM 1216 Rotary Shotgun platform.
Hjammerdeim may be named after the Pancor Jackhammer shotgun.
Hjammerdeim is pronounced "hammer time", a popular phrase coined by MC Hammer.

Grenade Launchers

EZ-Nade
The EZ-Nade is an Automatic Grenade Launcher in Brink.
There isn't much known about this weapon as of now, but its name suggests it is an automatic grenade launcher, and it is restricted to heavy body types. It appears to be a Mk 19 grenade launcher modified for infantry use.

According to this video, the EZ-Nade appears to be automatic and have a 6-round mag. EZ is an acyronym which when pronounced, sounds like "easy" and "nade" is short for grenade.

Info.
Brink (stylised as BRINK) is a first-person shooter video game developed by Splash Damage for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It was released in North America on May 10, 2011, and will be in Australia on May 12, and in the European Union on May 13.
In Brink, two factions, Resistance and Security, battle in a once-utopian city called The Ark, a floating city above the waters of a flooded Earth.[1][7]
Brink has Steamworks integration, including Valve Anti-Cheat.[8] It runs on id Tech 4 and has an updated rendering framework with improved support for multiple CPU cores.[3]

Two Resistance characters in the docks area, looking out to The Ark.
Brink is a first-person shooter with a focus on parkour-style movement. Online multiplayer servers hold up to 16 players; players can play cooperatively or competitively, or against artificially-intelligent bots.
Splash Damage developed the SMART (Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain) System.[9] By noting a player's position and predicting what he is trying to do, the system lets players navigate complex environments without equally complex input.
There are four character classes: the Soldier, the Medic, the Engineer, and the Operative. [10] The system could also be found in the previous title Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.[11] The Soldier resupplies teammates and uses explosives to destroy important targets. The Engineer buffs his teammates' weapons and builds stationary turrets. The Medic heals fallen teammates and buffs their teammates' health. The Operative interrogates fallen opponents to get intel on enemy locations, performs acts of sabotage, and disguises himself as the enemy. Players can customize their characters and buy items with experience points, which are earned by completing objectives.[1] The same experience points can be earned in both single-player and multiplayer. Bethesda claims that players can create a total of 102 quadrillion unique character combinations, if minor variations are factored in.[12]
The Squad Commander system gives players context-sensitive missions. A variety of factorswhere the player is, how skilled he is, his overall mission progress, etc. -- determine what missions will be available. During both on- and offline play, the player can defend one of his faction's command posts or capture an enemy's command post.
An Objective Wheel shows the main objective in yellow and will show a checkpoint which the player will need to go to to achieve that primary goal. There are also secondary goals. Each player has one in his inventory and will, on certain missions, be timed to achieve the goal that must be completed.
