y+2y+2y-5

5y-5.

Simon is y and Jim is twice as old as simon so 2y. And Jean is 5 years younger then simon so it's 2y-5 (i think)

Lol.. I dunno, that's probably wrong.

Simon = y
Jim = 2y
Jean = 2y-5

5y-5

That's simplest form.

5y-5=t

This is 100% correct sir.

You have 1y for Simon's age 2y for Jim's age cause he's twice as old as Simon and 2y for Jean's age equals up to 5y but you -5 cause Jean is 5 years younger than Jim.

T = Y + 2S + (2S - 5)
T = Y + 2Y + (2Y - 5)
Add up the Ys
T = 5Y - 5

Sean = y
Jim = 2S
Jean = 2S - 5

I think that's the answer.
