Avatar Adventurers Game Review
GAME INFORMATION
Platform: Xbox 360
Release date: Febuary 2011
Game rating: Everyone

Game Synopsis
Avatar Adventurers is a Multiplayer Online RPG. Develop your avatar by levelling your character and obtaining new equipment. Battle formidable beasts, complete quests and take on missions across three vast continents. Communicate with fellow adventurers, form experience parties and trade items. Join the online adventure today!

Gameplay Gameplay on this game is quite well for the idea of it. You play through a series of missions and a series of 5 main bosses to fight through by yourself or with a team of up to 6 people and can create a challenge that makes you feel great to deal the final blow. A recent update has created a longer story line, adding Chaos castle. Chaos castle is a castle that is made up of 3 levels (floors) and a basement. Each holding a Boss in its core and Enemies that range from level 60 to 100 then bosses at levels 65, 85, 105, and 120 and are more of a challenge than the original 5. If you decide to skip some missions or have beat them their are also A huge range of weapons, items, Battle gear, and plenty of odd jobs and side quests to can complete for an item or cash reward. There is a total of 99 levels to complete and new weapons and skills are unlcoked as you progress.

Controls Most weapon controls and items to use are all on a single menu you scroll through as you run or battle. They are easily mastered and are labeled as you go through them and can be mastered in the first 10 minutes of playing.

Graphics
graphics for this game are a small bit strange. Considering this game though was written up on Notepad on a computer its probally a work of art. The graphics are nice and good for a nice cartoon feeling.

My rating

I give this game a 8/10. My reasoning is because when you play online you do see high levels, 70% of these people only boost and dont actually team up unless you offer to level them up (VERY ANNOYING AT TIMES). If you can join a server with some actual good teamates, or if you have some friends your gonna team up with then what are oyu waiting for? The game is 240 MSP On the xbox live market place (about $2.50) and is a great indie game to enjoy!

Game Type- RPG, Roleplaying

Game Synopsis The game places the player in the role of a courier working for the Mojave Express, known simply as "the Courier." While delivering a package with a platinum poker chip to New Vegas, the courier is ambushed by Benny, leader of one of the casinos (voiced by Matthew Perry) in New Vegas, who steals the package, shoots the player in the head, and leaves the body in a shallow grave. A robot named Victor witnesses the shooting and brings the courier to Doctor Mitchell in Goodsprings.[16] At this point, the player enters into character creation and defines the Courier's skills, attributes, name, gender, age and appearance. Although traumatized, the player begins his journey, following Benny to avenge the attack and recover the stolen package, all while exploring the Mojave Wasteland.[18]

The game proceeds according to the player's decisions and involves many events, factions, and characters, however the main storyline revolves around the player pursuing Benny to both settle the score and return the platinum chip. Eventually, after finding Benny and the chip, the Courier finds himself in the middle of a conflict between Caesar's Legion, the NCR, and Mr. House. Each of the three sides aim to control Hoover Dam (still operational and supplying New Vegas with power and clean, non-irradiated water), a position which grants them total control over New Vegas. It is revealed that Mr. House, the enigmatic de-facto ruler of New Vegas, ordered the platinum chip's delivery and has been waiting for it for over 200 years, before the Great War. The chip itself is a data storage device that can upgrade the Securitrons to a greater level of combat effectiveness. Mr. House, the NCR and Caesar's Legion ask the Courier to assist them, but the Courier has the fourth option of taking over New Vegas. All four paths will eventually lead to the final battle over Hoover Dam.

The player decides the fate of vital factions across the Mojave Wasteland, as well as their role in the upcoming battle. The final battle for Hoover Dam, no matter which side the player chooses, will eventually begin. As Caesar's Legion strikes the Dam, led by the fearsome Legate Lanius, the NCR protects its position under General Lee Oliver. The player will have to oppose one of them, or both, depending on the choices made. These choices result in different endings, which are also affected by many side missions. The game concludes with either the NCR or Caesar's Legion gaining control of the Mojave Wasteland, or with either the player or Mr. House gaining control of New Vegas.

Gameplay As always in the fallout series this latest addition And adds a newer..Fresher not as dark feeling to this Formidable RPG series by Bethesda. Unlike Fallout Three It features A more Open Map to explore (not just a dark depressing feeling) Also It has a longer campaign story line and Hundreds of side quests to enjoy. Featuring 4 DLC packs, and a couple smaller add ons that feature new weapons and items to collect and equip in your arsenal. back to the DLC packs, they are Dead Money,Old World Blues, Lonesome Road, and Honest Hearts. They all have their own challenges and main story lines. I own them all and believe Dead Money to be the hardest DLC I have ever played...They can create the Most Skilled and Honed RPG masters scream out and go into a controller throwing rage. Aside from Add ons the DLC also adds more levels, the Max now being 50. For the challenge seeking ones out there there is hardcore mode, giving the game a deadly realistic feel making sleep deprivation take a heavier toll, Makes enemies stronger, and makes starving become a new way of a slow painful death. Gameplay is very fun and lets you create your path, and your own legacy!

Graphics Graphics on this game are great for and RPG, It creates enemies to become scarier, look deadlier, and create a New way of exploring. The graphics make you want to go out and walk 10 miles to explore a speck of dust you saw while fighting off wild dogs.

Controls Controls are amazing! I forgot to add V.A.T to the review..this makes me sad, it may be one of the best Aiming systems in a game ever (its a RPG if I must point it out) You can also free aim and not lock on if you want to.

I rate The Game A 10/10 and is a rare game that I have played with This lineup of amazing graphics, Game replay value, and story. Fallout New Vegas is a game no RPG fan can miss and I hope that the Upcoming Elder Scrolls V Skyrim can deliver such an enjoyable experience <3

You emerge into this vast wasteland to discover humanity working to rebuild itself against such forces as raider gangs, mutants, and the Authority -- an oppressive government regime that has a special interest in you in particular.

Featuring intense first-person action, vehicle combat, an expansive world and jaw-dropping graphics powered by id's revolutionary idTech 5 technology, Rage continues the legacy of design studio Id Software in delivering an experience like no other.

Story:
You are the survivor of a government project to save the human race after an asteroid devastates the earth. You wake up 140 years later in your ark as the only survivor in your ark. You progress through the game by talking to people and doing missions. Meeting up with a group that wants to take down the Authority will be the main part of the game, and is introduced fairly early.

8.5/10 - Great

Gameplay:
In Rage it is strictly a first person shooter with no dialog options or RPG elements in it at all. Thus limiting the experience to just doing missions over and over again the entire time. It seems like you're just doing the same thing over and over again. Which really leaves you playing the game for an hour, taking a break for an hour, picking it back up for another hour, and you just repeat the cycle. You can't play this whole game thru in one sitting. It's way too repetitive and too unrewarding to just power through.

The game certainly does have a somewhat horror feel to it that will make you jump time to time. The mutants look crisp and freaky. Especially when the boss mutants come out of no where. Make you jump out of your seat. The fact that you're alone also intensifies the experience.

Dune buggies play a big part in this game. It is your main way of traveling and part of the game's main quest as well as some side quests. To id I give them props for utilizing something that has been done so many times to make it feel new and smooth. This does not make up for the awful main part of the game itself.

There are also a VERY limited amount of weapons. I believe in all you have 10 guns and only 10 other types of weaponry. The guns do feel very powerful but with such a limited amount of them they too get repetitive.

4/10 - Terrible

Graphics:
As far as graphics, this game has one of the best I have ever seen. id Softwares has set the bar for future games - graphics-wise. The characters look extremely life-like and the overall feel of the dark game makes you feel like you're there. The only thing I have to complain about here is the occasional texture pop-ins. Still amazing graphics.

9.5/10 - Superb

Sound:
The sound is exceptional. The boom from the grenades, the pow from your assault rifle makes it really seem like you're pulling the trigger or throwing the grenade. You can hear the enemies from a distance making you extra cautious about where you go. And once the enemies come and pop out at you it makes you jump. Excellent sound. Couldn't be better.

10/10 - Perfect

Controls:
The controls flow extremely well. As usual you have the left trigger for aim and the right to pull the trigger. But the thing that makes Rage special is that it has so many options for you without you having to go a menu that pauses the game. It's all real time: switching weapons, types of ammo, and secondary weapons (grenades, wingsticks,etc.). Wonderful controls.

9.5/10

Closing Comments
Rage has so much potential. But just doesn't get it done. It could honestly be an amazing game, but it just fails to be that. The repetitiveness of the game just makes it lose it's appeal so quickly it's not even worth playing through. The only place where it needs to improve is the gameplay. The graphics, sound, controls, story are all great but it just isn't what it could be.

Overall rating: 5/10 - Bad

The environment is set around a large open area which is full of violent thugs wanting you dead. You have to complete the campaign while getting searched for by helicopters and look for clues set by The Riddler. Batman must now stop the violence around the city. Two-Face plans to publicly execute fellow prisoner Catwoman after she tries to steal items from his hideout. Meanwhile, Gotham City itself has rapidly cloned into a police cut-off zone managed by the Gotham Mayor, Sharp. where all citizens with even the smallest criminal record on their files find themselves arrested. Bruce Wayne, argues, they have become responsible for their own survival in an urban hell which is characterized by bloody gang wars with thugs and the Joker himself.

Wayne is kidnapped by Tyger Security, working for Hugo Strange, who knows everything about Wayne being the Batman. Hugo Strange mentions that he intends to unveil his new plans for Arkham City before the night is up, codenamed "Protocol 10". Now an inmate himself, the Dark Knight manages to have his butler deliver his costume to him directly via an airdrop, and he saves Cat woman from Two Face for the sake of their past relationship while uncovering the true info Protocol 10.

Controls

The controls are very easy to get to know, X is strike and Y is to counter strike. You will know when to counter strike as the thug will have 5 small blue lighting shapes coming off his head. There are various tools to use and all come with a clear description on how to use them in the game. You can never run out of ammo on explosive devices and electric shockers, which isn't realistic but makes the game more fun and less stop and start.

Graphics

The graphics are spectacular, it is set in a very dark, cold atmosphere deep inside the polluted Gotham City. The HUD comes with a clear health bar and clear weapon status'. It has been heard that sometimes during cutscenes there are texture faults. But don't let that put you off this wonderful game.

Overall Comments

Great game, well made. Great graphics some texture faults but for only milliseconds of the scenes. Very well produced story and characters are in-character. The voices of the characters are played to an amazing standard. A dark deep voice for the joker really brings out the evil from him. Only bad thing, is the direction of where you are ment to go, if you are lost Batman just repeats what you need to do but isn't clear. For example "Get back to Section 2" x100 but I don't have a clue where Section 2 is. Very good game, a must buy.

Overall Rating: 9/10 - Very good, A must buy!

Battlefield 3 Information

Release Date: October 25, 2011 (North America) / October 28, 2011 (Europe)
Developers: DICE, EA (Electronic Arts)
Genre: 1st Person Shooter
Platforms: Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC
Multiplayer: Online, up to 64 players
Age Restrictions: 18+ (Rated M for Mature)

Synopsis

Battlefield 3 (commonly abbreviated to BF3) is a first-person shooter action video game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE and published by Electronic Arts. The game was released in the USA on October 25, 2011 on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360[4] and EA Mobile confirmed a port for the iOS platform. It does not support versions of Windows prior to Windows Vista. It is a direct sequel to 2005's Battlefield 2, and the eleventh installment in the Battlefield franchise. The PC release is exclusive to EA's Origin platform.

Set in 2014, SSgt Blackburn leads a five-man squad on a mission to locate, find and safely return a US squad investigating a possible chemical weapons site, whose last known position was a market controlled by a hostile militia called the PLR. Blackburn and his squad is later sent to Tehran to apprehend a high-value target named Al-Bashir. While investigating an underground vault in a local bank, Blackburn and his team learn that the PLR had access to Russian portable nuclear devices, and that two of the devices are missing. Being overrun and requesting for back-up, an M1 Abrams convoy led by Sergeant Miller is deployed to extract Blackburn's team. Miller facilitates Blackburn's helicopter extraction, but is captured when waiting for a Quick Reaction Force. Miller is promptly executed by Solomon and Al-Bashir and recorded on a video file.
Later, Blackburn and his squad manage to get to a wounded Al-Bashir, who reveals Solomon's plot to detonate the nukes in Paris and New York. Blackburn's team also gets a lead on arms dealer Kaffarov, who was working with Solomon. Half of Blackburn's team is killed during an airstrike, while a Spetsnaz team led by Dima is also pursuing Kaffarov. Dima successfully interrogates Kaffarov, confirming Solomon's plot to Blackburn. To facilitate Dima's disappearance, Blackburn is forced to shoot his commanding officer. As a result, Blackburn is captured and interrogated by agents within the Central Intelligence Agency and explains all of his previous operations to them in flashbacks. During Blackburn's capture, Dima attempts to stop the attack in Paris, but his team gets wounded in the resulting detonation.
Left with no other option, Blackburn and surviving squad member Montes break out of captivity to stop the attack in New York. Solomon shoots Montes, but Blackburn manages to kill Solomon in the resulting melee, as well as recovering the last nuclear device. Having been diagnosed with radiation poisoning, Dima writes a suicide note and attempts to shoot himself.

Gameplay

Battlefield 3 has brought back many elements that were not shown in the Bad Company series. They have brought back the fighter jets, prone position, and the capability of having 64 players playing at once on one server. The maps you see in Battlefield 3 take place in: Paris, Tehran, Sarajevo, Sulaymaniyah, New York, Wake Island and Oman. As you see, the gameplay goes from busy streets, to open deserts.

Along with Battlefield 3, DICE has introduced a new thing called Battlelog. What is Battlelog? Battlelog is a place where you can check on the game statistics, send instant text messages to other players, have a voice chat, and much more, 100% free. It is definitely a big necessity to the game.

Campaign

The campaign takes place near the Iran-Iraq border, where you (Marine Corps) are in war with the People's Liberation and Resistance (PLR).

During the campaign, you also have access to a variety of vehicles at your disposal, such as: fighter jets, tanks, and many more vehicles.

The overall story is a little bit boring, unfortunately, and short. Although they have spent most of their time on the multiplayer aspect, they could of spent a little bit more time on the campaign.

Cooperative Mode

DICE has given us the cooperative mode to utilize when playing with friends and others. There are six short mission that are 2-player only. It's almost like a smaller version of the campaign you can play with your friends so they can play as well. Basically, you both cooperatively play the missions on one TV (split screen) and help each other out to complete it.

Multiplayer

In Multiplayer, you can play 4 different roles: Assault, Support, Engineer and Recon.

In the Assault role, you are both an offensive and defensive type of player. Ironically, for your role, you also have med kits and defibrillators with your class, as the medic role was taken away and merged with the assault role, so you also have a defense side to it as well. Usually, you have a primary assault rifle (e.g. M16, AK-74). You can swap your medic kit with a grenade launcher, so you choose whether you want to be offensive or defensive.

In the Support role, you are the "heavy man" on your team. You carry a light machine gun as your primary, and also have the ability to resupply your teammates with ammunition if needed.

In the Engineer role, your objective is to arm tanks and other armored vehicles with rocket launchers (e.g. RPG-7, SMAW). You can also use "anti-mine tanks" as your advantage. Your primary is a carbine weapon to defend yourself when completing your main objective.

In the Recon role, you are a long-range sniper, and also act like a support for your assault and engineer roles. You can also unlock a laser designator to help mark your targets when sniping. Your primary is, of course, a sniper (e.g. MK11, SMD, etc.).

Your rank progression in Multiplayer is unique as well. Not only can you rank up as your main rank from XP, but you also progress in your four specified roles (listed above) as well. You also rank up with your weapons and vehicles as you use them.

The game modes in multiplayer are: Conquest, Rush, Squad Deathmatch, Squad Rush and Team Deathmatch.

Conquest - Basically, your team must capture and control different flag points scattered throughout the map, and both teams have tickets. To spawn, you have to use a ticket. You either play until the points are finished, or until the tickets on one team are down to zero.

Rush - There are two sides: offense and defense. The offense must go to either bomb point A or B and successfully blow up one of the two bomb points, then advance to the next two. This will occur three times, and if the offense is successful all three times in blowing up one of the bomb points, they will win the match. The defense, on the other hand, must defend the bomb points and prevent the offense from advancing towards them. The defense will win if they manage to hold them down until the time limit is down to zero.

Squad Deathmatch - This is just like Team Deathmatch, but there are 4 groups. The groups kill each other until one group reaches the required amount of kills first, or whichever group has the most kills at the end of the time limit will win.

Squad Rush - This is exactly like Rush, except there are only 4 players on each team, as opposed to 24/32 on each team.

Team Deathmatch - Two teams must kill each other until one team reaches the required amount of kills to win, or one team must have the most kills when the time limit reaches zero.

Graphics

DICE's new introduction to the Frostbite 2 engine has definitely brought the graphics to an all-time high. The lighting and texture work is absolutely incredible, especially on the PC. All the different game modes in Battlefield 3 beautifully show off its graphical capabilities. Well done on that, DICE.

Overall Comments

Although the campaign could have been a little more interesting, the multiplayer definitely makes up for it. It's fun, addictive, and something you'll be playing for a long time! The visuals are absolutely stunning, the effects are incredible, and, to top it off, the vehicles are fun and great to use. Battlefield 3 is a must-have, and I think they did a very nice job developing the game.

Overall Rating: 9.5/10

One of the best games I have seen in a while, I highly recommend this game! You will NOT be disappointed!

Modern Warfare 3 Information

Released: November 8th, 2011
Game Developers: Infinity Ward & Sledgehammer Games
Publisher: Activision Publishing Studios
Genre: First Person Shooter, Action
Platforms: Xbox 360, Playstation 3 , PC, Wii

ESRB Rating: Mature 17+

Synopsis

Ahh... the most popular game of 2011... Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. This game takes you on a wide variety of missions to prevent Russians world dominance by killing Vladimir Makarov. However, in this game, there are twists and turns you must take to finally seek revenge for all that Makarov has done. The three biggest things on your priority list is to save the president, his daughter, and finally eliminate Makarov and all that he has accomplished. You will see missions from different view points from Call of Duty: 4 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Although you may lose quite a few known men on the way to victory, but in the end, there's a huge surprise.

Synopsis Rating: 10

Gameplay

There are many of the same elements in Modern Warfare 3 then there is in Modern Warfare 2 and the regular Modern Warfare. The technology in the game has improved drastically. The story line is also great if you played the other 2 Modern Warfare's and knew what was going on. There are many new guns, camos, maps, and awesome new features. That's what makes this game worth buying.

Gameplay Rating: 9.5

Graphics

I honestly have to say, the graphics in this game are a whole lot better and more realistic than previous Call of Duty games. You can just tell that there is more detail and time put into this game then previous Call of Duties. Another thing, not only the graphics have gotten better, but the sounds and people talking have gotten better. You can tell a huge difference between shots of guns and the people talking from previous Call of Duties.

Graphics Rating: 9

Online Multiplayer

Infinity Ward made this online multiplayer just like Treyarch did with Black Ops. Infinity Ward added 2 person split screen to multiplayer. The online multplayer offers many new weapons, maps, camos, attachments, tons of new killstreaks and new feaures - one them being the prestige tokens. A prestige token is a 'token' you receive on Modern Warfare 3 from prestiging in the last 4 Call of Duties. There's so many new killstreaks, I can't even name them all. The maps on multiplayer are excellent - as there's not really any dark spots, alleys, or tall bushes that people can camp in then kill you when you run by.

As I said for the campaign, the gun shots sound a lot more real. It's a pretty good edition to the game. There are 10 prestiges and 80 total levels in this game. You can also use one of the prestige tokens to go back to 0 prestige level 1 and have EVERYTHING reset and do it all over again.

Online Multiplayer Rating: 8

Survival Mode

Survival Mode is a complete remake of Nazi Zombies, but more modernized - buy weapons and more from a laptop, and fight off hordes of Marines and dogs to see how long you can last. And as usual, you get points from killing the Marines and dogs in which you can use towards a new perk, weapon, etc. Its very fun and there's unlimited rounds. You can also play this with a friend.

Survival Mode Rating: 9.5

Special Ops

In special ops, you complete extra missions to gain achievement points. But here's the new twist in special ops, you can also rank up in it. You rank up by completing mission. Just like in Modern Warfare 2: you complete missions and unlock stars to gain access to more missions. You can get a total of 1, 2, or 3 stars depending on the missions. You can play this by yourself or with a friend. It's is very fun to do after beating the campaign, but very time consuming... and when you die, you have to start the entire mission over - there are no check points.

Special Ops Rating: 9

Controls

The controls are the same in every other Call of Duty... Click RS to run
X to reload
Y to switch weapon
A to jump / stand up
B to crouch or hold to prone
RT to shoot
LT to aim
RB to throw grenade
LB to throw special grenade

@Kootah - Weird, I Don't know why but Mw3 has gotten well over 20+ Reviews and out of all of them, it has only gotten 1 5/5 Review, a lot of 9/10 or lower.

Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection Review

Release Date: 11/8/11
Developed by Konami
Genre: Stealth/Action/Espionage
Platform: Multi-Platform
Rating: M (17+)

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Synopsis

Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection is a blast from the past. The collection includes Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. The game revolves around the protagonist Solid Snake, and the appearance of Raiden in Sons of Liberty. Metal Gear Solid is a stealth/action/espionage game. The franchise stresses the use of stealth more than anything, from blending in with the grass in Snake Eater to hiding in closets in Sons of Liberty. Although you can go through the games with non-suppressed weapons, and blowing your cover every thirty-seconds, nothing is more satisfying than getting that perfect stealth kill, which is why Metal Gear Solid: HD collection one of the best games of 2011.

Story

Due to the fact that MGS: HD Collection is 3 games in one (5 games technically, but i will get to that later), I will break down the story of each individual game.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
In MGS2:SOL, for the first part of the game you play as Snake aboard a US Marine Ship, which is housing a new model of METAL GEAR, for those who do not know, a METAL GEAR is basically a super weapon, similar to a giant mech. Snake eventually learns that the Marine ship has been hijacked by Russian mercenaries and Spetznaz. Your task, for the first part of the game, is to figure out who the enemy is, expose the new model of METAL GEAR, and to escape. For the second part of the game, you play as Raiden. For the second half, you infiltrate a base in the middle of the ocean to try and rescue the US president taken hostage by the Russians who demand 30 billion dollars for his return, but after a while, things arent as they seem. There is an incredible story, and I would love to more in depth, but I am afraid if I talk more, I might spoil some things for those who wish to pick up the game.

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater

Snake eater starts with you parachuting from a plane into the jungle in search of a Russian scientist, who is held hostage, and forced to manufacture a super-weapon, that can launch ICBM's (Nuclear Weapons) from almost any position. Snake Eater, is my favorite game in the MGS series, and is one of my favorite games of all time. Not only are you tasked with avoiding enemy patrols, sneaking into bases, and surviving fights against your human enemies, but you are also tasked with surviving in the jungle. You have to hunt for food like snakes, birds, or anything edible to help your health and stamina bar stay maintained properly. MGS3 is one of those rare games, that has a story that keeps you entertained throughout the entire game, because there are no low points. The whole time your playing the game, your doing something that is fun, which is hard to find in some of today's newer games. MGS3 also includes the original tital Metal Gear, and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

I cant go into much detail on this one because it is very story based, and i cant ruin it for some people, but I will try and tell as much as I can. Originally on the Play Station Portable, (PSP), Peace Walker is set in 1974 in Central America. The game revolves around the building of a private army of mercenaries to tackle all the baddies in the games universe. Unlike the other MGS's in the HD collection pack, in Peace Walker, there is online CO-OP and Versus which pit players versus players to see who is the dominant tactical/espionage/action professional.

Graphics

The graphics in the HD collection are amazing. Players have to take note that these games are fairly old, and of course they are not going to have the graphics that are on par with Skyrim, Call of Duty, or Battlefield, but you have to think about how good these games looked at the time of their release. There was nothing out like these games when they were released, and MGS was really one of the first Stealth action games, and it helped to pave the road for future stealth games. I never noticed textures popping in and out, which would have been my main concern.

Controls

Controls in MGS3: Snake Eater and Peace Walker are great. Simple to learn, simple to use. The controls for Sons of Liberty however, are a little funky. Sons of Liberty doesnt have a button to control the camera, so a lot of the time you might have a really bad camera angle, and get alerted by the guy your sneaking up on. The control scheme is a hassle at first, but once you get accustomed to the controls and the different feel, you will be on your way to becoming a stealth master.

HD Comparison

Now although this is not necessarily a big part of the review, i just want to show you guys a side-by-side comparison of how the graphics have improved. On the TOP are the HD VERSION GRAPHICS, on the BOTTOM are the OLD GRAPHICS. All pictures were taken from the Metal Gear section on Gamebreakers.

It is a must buy for those who love stealth games, and an absolute try for those who want to test out before the buy.

Developed by EA
Genre: Real Time Strategy
Rating: Teen

Synopsis

Command and Conquer 3 is a fictional RTS (Real-Time-Strategy) set in the future. The game casts a set of three factions who battle it out in hopes of gathering a precious resource known as Tiberium. Tiberium can be used to power buildings and fund your army, but it also can be used as a dangerous weapon that can cause effects similar to those of radiation. You play as a commander in the GDI ( Global Defense Initiative ) whose task is to ensure safety to the innocent citizens who are being threatened by your enemy, the Brotherhood of Nod. Nod is a Class-A terrorist organization. They just want to kill people. End of story. And your mission is to stop them.

Story

Command and Conquer 3 starts you off fighting small Skirmishes against Nod. You will be tasked with building a bigger and badder army to fight Nods army. Through fighting and completing missions, you learn from Epic-Live-Action-Cut-Scenes, that Nod have a bigger force, and even more weaponry than the GDI can imagine. After having tons of battles with the Nod, and even disarming a nuke, you will come across a new enemy; the Scrin. The Scrin are an alien faction, who are immune to the radiation-like effects of Tiberium. After fighting a war with Nod, the GDI now have to rally the troops and fight a war against an opponent they know nothing about.

Graphics

Graphics in Command and Conquer 3 are acceptable. Everything looks decent, and i rarely notice lag when i have an epic battle of soldiers and tanks and jets fighting it out on the screen. There were some moments where my game would lag if i launched a super weapon or a nuke, but other than that, the game was fine. There is not an extreme amount of detail put into the buildings/unit models, because the real focus is on the excellent battles. The graphics overall are solid, but EA could have put a little bit more polish and detail on the character models.

Final Verdict

I believe Command and Conquer 3 deserves a 8.5/10. It is an excellent RTS that requires precision and skill. The graphics could be a little better, but hey, its a game from 2007. I recommend a buy for a any RTS lover due to its low price (got mine for $9.99) and for anybody who isnt an avid RTS player, rent it and give it a shot. I'm sure youll like it.
