Game Information:

Release Date: 10/05/11
Developed By: THQ
Genre: Racing
Platform: Cross Platform
Age Restrictions: No Age Requirement

Gameplay:

There's not much that needs to be explained about the gameplay in a racing game all you have to do is finish first. There are three modes: as you can compete on long courses, short courses and in free rides. I'm a casual racing-game player, yet this game had me coming back again and again, thanks to the feel of the gameplay. Normally, it feels like racing games are a one-and-done affair, as a mistake will put you far behind the pack, unable to make a comeback. Unlike the previous games, the computer kicks it up a notch if it is losing.

Outside of the in-race competition, with plenty of customization options for both, including gear, logos and designs from some of the biggest companies in motocross. You have an option to choose rider skills as well such as XP bonus or Holeshot boost which helps you in races. If you ask me the rider leveling is way to easy.

The thing that's most unique about the game though is the price. It runs $20 less than your average Xbox game, probably because the game is locked down to start. You start out with a couple long tracks, a couple of short tracks and two free ride settings, along with a couple of vehicles and rider customizations. In order to get more, you have two options. You can either work your way up in experience points until you unlock this content, or you can buy it from the in-game store. Though it may make sense to just unlock these options through gameplay, it can take a while, you have to reach level 10 and then level 25 to unlock it all. Reaching level 10 is actually harder than you'd think, because you have so few tracks to race in, which means you're running the same races over and over. DLC will be released every Tuesday. It will include Gear, Bikes, and Tracks.

Online Play:

The online play in this game is solid, letting you compete against a full roster of live racers in each of the games' mode, with the next race chosen by the players' votes. In playing many races, there was no noticeable difference between an online game and a local competition. The only issue is a slight lack of players, as there was never more than seven players in a race. That said, it's addictive fun, as I played for hours, despite coming in last frequently. There's something about taking on real foes that's just enjoyble.

Controls:

There are literally times when I was pressing several buttons at once trying to speed up and yet maintain control over my bike, thanks to the reflex riding system, which lets you control the vehicle and the rider separately but at the same time. Now, it doesn't get much more complicated than the directions you work your analog sticks, but as you're doing that, you also have control of the clutch, brakes, gas and your rider's level of crouching, as well as a trick button that alters your right stick into a trick selector. Trying to keep all this straight while flying around the mud is pretty complicated, and probably comes as close as a game will get to what it's like to actually ride one of these things. To be honest, I still don't have a full grasp of the clutch aside from its value in getting off the starting line, but it's one more chance to gain an advantage.

Graphics:

Everything about this game, including the menus, detailed vehicles and tracks, looks great, maintaining its good looks even at top speed, which is key, considering you need to be able to see the positioning of your wheels and make out the track (without an HUD map available.) The little details are all impressive, from the dynamic trails, which are affected by your tires, to the position of the sun, which casts shadows, creating a realistic visual challenge in spots. One of the best graphic elements is a silly one, as you can wreck into the camera in freeride, sending it flipping and sprawling, which makes for a fun visual. Overall, a really nice-looking game, though the ragdolling on your riders could be less stiff.

Rating: 8

If you are into motocross or enjoy racing games then I recommend buying this game. After all it is only $40.00 and has loads of DLC that comes out every Tuesday. My personal opinion of the game is, it is really fun and the ranking system is a little to easy but the achievements make up for that. It took me about 2 days to get to level 50 on the game but it took me about a week to earn all the achievements. I would recommend buying this game.

MY REVIEW NO THIS ISNT COPY AND PASTE ITS STRAIT FROM MY HEAD.

MX VS ATV UNTAMED - I have been playing this game since the week it came out (like 08). Its a blast! Theres endless amounts of things you can do in it. You can drive vehicles from pit bikes to golf carts. I can play that game for countless amounts of hours. The racing is fun but is a little to easy in the campain, but to bring back the capain you have atv, dirtbike, pit bike, and all terain vehicles. Every time you go through a whole entire part of the racing/campain you unlock new parts, graphics, vehicle, clothes, and more races.
NEXT IS MINI GAMES-I personally have not really played the mini games in any of the mx games but some in here are a blast. I dont really know the name of it off the top of my head but i think its called Snake. You are pretty much in a specific location of a certain map and theres a colored streak that is left behind you where ever you go. The objective is to stay away from the colored streaks(not run into them)and try to get ur oppenent to run into it. Thats really the only mini game i play.
LAST IS THE FREE RIDE-I constantly play this with one of my friends because you have so much to do. On a map called Kittery Point its basicly on the water. Theres a huge gap off a cliff onto a sloped one and you have to land PERFECT in order to ride away. Pretyy much in free ride i like to just push my limits to what i can do.(best so far was a double back flip and a 720 ). Also the loading thing is a little inside map with a few jumps instead of a picture of the map with a boring old loading bar.

My rating for it would have to be a 10 and to buy this. You can get it for 21.75 i think with tax on the market place and its only 2.77 gb so its small xD.

Synopsis

Fortress Craft was created for people who have great imaginations and can create large objects and want to design various things from different types of blocks. This game is similar to the PC game; Minecraft which became popular for thousands of people. This game is based on Xbox and allows you to interact with your friends in a large world where you can choose from numerous blocks including, Sand, rock, wood, grass, windows, malt, marble and a lot more!

Gameplay

This game begins on an empty world with different types of blocks placed in various locations (mainly grass). You spawn inside a large cube which is filled with water. This is the only spawning area on your world and can not be deleted by LB control. This game includes many different things you can do and create. You can go underground and search for the hidden relics placed in the game. These relics allow players to experience new things which help their creations succeed, including headlight when you're creating your world at night. Jetpack; this is a great relic which allows you to fly in any direction (left, right, up & down). It helps you create things which float rather than created on the ground and gets you around your world alot quicker than average walking speed. Those are only two of the 8-10 relics which are placed underground. The relics are never located above ground so don't be fooled if anyone attempts to tell you if they're found in the sky. More relics include; black smoke, speed boots, super jump boots, ray gun, water walk, night vision & freeze gun. The freeze gun is a great feature to the game, it allows you to have fun with your friends with the mode called 'Freeze Tag'.
The game features multiplayer which allows your buddies to connect to your world and help you create quicker. You can edit join session permissions so guests can join, join & edit or blocked. Blocked means they cannot join your game at all. You may find allowing guests to edit in your world becomes havoc as some can't be trusted.
The game is an indie game which means it comes at a cheap cost and it's a good buy. The updates are free of cost, the game is separated into Chapters and each chapter contains different features and new things to do. There are updates on a monthly basis and they fix any bugs and glitches which people complain about. The blocks are fun to use and you can create nearly anything. From a large football stadium to a Nyan cat. If you have an Xbox chatpad or a USB keyboard then you can use game commands to edit structures. These structures include adding water, setting TNT blast radius, filling in certain areas with a singular type of block texture.
The game sounds are near enough realistic, foot steps can be turned on/off, same with your pick axe and other tools. You can't use your pick axe although it's included for display.

Graphics

The graphics are good, they aren't meant to be perfect seeing as this is an Indie game and it not something as professional as a full Xbox Published game in stores. The graphics were created to be similar to the Minecraft game which are a retro style with colours and cube styled worlds. Every update and chapter to be brought out will increase the game in a certain way. Before the first update was brought out they didn't include an icon for the TNT block but then they decided they would. The interacting avatar is based from your Xbox profile and isn't retro style, this is regular and is very similar to this type:

Controls

The in-game controls are very easy to get to grips with, they are very plain and are easily recognisable. E.g. LB to delete and RB to add another block. 'A' to jump, left anallog stick to move camera/view & right anallog stick to move the character around the world. This game doesn't include chain controls or combinations of any sort.

Overall Rating

Rating: 8/10.

I decided to add the code so if you do consider adding this to the official section then you won't have to add the BBcodes etc. ;)

Everything apart from the game information was typed out by me.

Story
The story is well written, no doubt about that, the game uses visuals well to bring home the sadness and reinforce the narrative. This story is like a short but good book, you can run through it in no time at all and still feel satisfied or if you prefer pick up a tiny piece of the action one bit at a time and still really enjoy it.
Having played most FPS on offer today I already had an idea of what I was expecting from the single player. Similarly I had an expectation of how the game would be set out. I was not disappointed in either case. The story takes place in the not so distant future in a world we all know and recognise, well if your living in suburban America that is.
The story kicks off by briefly letting you know who your playing as and then soon after letting you know that the resistance had you in mind to join them (not that you get a choice in the matter). As far as you can make out your an ex American Airforce pilot that is in hiding from the Korean invaders, the resistance informs you that they need your flying skills of course you will mostly have to get involved in other leg work as well, the things that keep the resistance rolling.
Having accepted your new role you then go on to learn about the resistance, the struggle they face, the harsh Greater Korean Republic regime being forced upon them and how far they are will to go to fight.

Gameplay
Like most FPS you will have a range of toys to play with the usual guns and a few surprises to make your job a bit easier. Once you enter multiplayer the game allows your character to unlock their full potential with options that allow them to become a much more efficient solider, such as weapon attachments, gun camos not forgettting character perks that allow such things as faster reload/quicker ads and a whole bunch more.
You also gain the ability to spend Battle Points as you play on silly little things like Hellfire, UAV, Tank's, APC's, Remote Control Scout's, Helicopter's even Body Armour and Thermal Vision is included. Making Multiplayer very fun and probably the aspect of the game that you'll spend most time on.

Graphics
To say that THQ threw this game together would be a lie, this is a fairly nice game to look at but like most games the real test is in multiplayer as the story handles the gameplay very well and no obvious problems to worth noting. I will say that throughout the game the use of lighting is great, not hide in the shadows ninja great, but enough to create the right look for that moment.
So then your expecting me to tell you it falls apart online? Surprisingly no, although at times in can feel a bit bogged down when half a team decides to call in air strikes at the same time, it quickly recovers. It does well considering the big maps as well I haven't noticed considerable draw lines that some other games suffer from and once again considering the size it has to deal with it does well. Well enough to not ruin your playing experience. I guess it looks like a version of BF2 and BF1943 minus destruction but better in some respects.

Controls
The main controls (running, aiming, shooting) are an adaptation of any COD game, very easy to pick up and not awkward to use.
The game assigns the D-Pad on consoles as your main source when you need to select special weapons and the other things such as vehicles are selected from the spawn menu. Vehicles are fairly easy to use with most ground vehicles using the Halo point and drive, while air items are controlled similarly with the added ability to ascend/descend.

Fighters ~ Uncaged

Game Information
Release Date: November 4th, 2010
Developed by: AMA Studios
Genre: Fighting/action
Platform: Kinect (Xbox 360)
Age restrictions: 13+

Synopsis

Fighters uncaged is a rather mild fighting game where YOU are the fighter. Only available on the Kinect, this game uses fighting motions and actions to activate the certain controls. You play going through the streets of New York and various places throughout the world.

Story

You play as Simon, a street thug that has to win fighting tournaments in able for your dad to pay off his "Debt" with a king pin. To get the money needed for your dad you have to win a fighting tournament that goes around fighting random people. I also found that throughout this game there was not any plot that was said, so I had to look in the booklet to find that this was the plot. You start off training with some random guy and they don't explain anything throughout the story. After training you go straight into battle and the tournament begins.

Controls

Since this a Kinect based game there is no controller and you must do everything with your body. Punches in this game seem to be delayed and the fact that the Kinect cannot pickup when you duck or knee down because it can't track everything at once, I felt that most of the controls failed me, or were very delayed. Everything seemed to be slow and not running smoothly for me. Controls are pretty much self explanatory because a Kick ~ Is a Kick. A Punch ~ Is a punch. And a Block ~ Is a block. Controls are also very hard when you sway back and forth as you seem to ALWAYS get out of the Kinect sensors way whenever you do that. Also there seemed to be a lot of bugs when you were at the Medium range as if you were too far away when you were right in front of it.

Gameplay

Playing through this game it seemed that there were endless amount of fights, and that it became VERY repetitive throughout the game. Fighting sequences were the same and the people all looked like characters from the Jersey Shore. The first few guys were quite easy to defeat but being that they never stop punching you seem to get tired and find it impossible to pause the game without getting K.O.'d within the 4 seconds to pause. The opponents also seem to block as if they don't know what they're doing and the fact that the "tough guy" revenge lines never seem to impress me the gameplay was all around not very good. There is NO custimization in this game and there was really no fun throughout.

Graphics

Considering this was a Kinect game I was not expecting very good graphics but I was surprised that they were not that bad. Considering this was one of the first games for Kinect I was quite impressed as others were not. The menu was very easy to navigate and you cannot get confused unless you try to. Cut scenes were some what realistic and character motions were very well put out. Even though they were not the best, they sure seemed to be OK for a Kinect game.

Pros

~Good excersize
~Nice graphics
~Nicely put out motions
~Smooth menu
~Easy to learn tutorial

Cons

~Very unorganized plot
~Awful motion detector compatibilty
~Little Info on Game
~Pricey
~Hard to perform moves (Sometimes)
~No custimization
~Bad game designing
~Cheeky villian outfits

Synopsis
The sequel to the physics-bending phenomenon is finally here: Portal 2! Waking up after an unknown amount of time in stasis, Chell finds herself captive at the Aperture Science labs once more but the facility is badly decayed. Worse still, the homicidal A.I. GLaDOS is not only active, but determined to repair the facility and continue its deadly portal experiments.
Utilise the legendary Portal Gun, alongside some new tricks and unlikely allies, to evade and escape GLaDOS clutches. Think Portal with more portal.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Story
In Portal 2 we are once again given control of the fearless Chell, fearless because no matter what we put in front of her in the first Portal she still jumped through it even if the results were not always favourable.
Once again we find ourselves playing at the Aperture Laboratories picking up after we left off from the first game for those who remember we had overthrown GLaDOS and all seemed right with the world. Well apparently not because it seems our efforts were in vain as it soon becomes clear that not only are we still in the Aperture Complex (which is now looking a bit worse for wear after the explosion) but apparently we still have a small problem..GLaDOS..and yes she's even more unhappy that you killed her.

Gameplay
This is the most fun you'll have taking tests. Obviously you get the legendary Portal Gun once again..how else are you going to make all them holes?, the nice people over at Valve have also given us some new tricks like the ability to slide really fast and even jump that bit higher using a splodge of paint as well as unlikely allies all designed (depends how you see it) to help or hinder our escape from GLaDOS. With Steve Merchant at your side the single player does not disappoint, even bigger, even better puzzles await you in this sequal.
Then when you decide that your the boss at this game you can rope a friend in to play the co-op with you. Now let me just say something, the single best feature of this game is the ability to point out individual points anywhere on screen in the game to your co-op friend. This is a lifesaver. Literally. Because when your about to push a button you want to know that your buddy is standing in the right place and not in the middle of a infinite portal loop. The co-op is another game in itself and really adds to the bulk of Portal 2 making it real value for money.

Graphics
I really like the visuals in this game simply because as anyone who's played it knows that Portal doesn't need amazing graphics to be good yet that said Valve have still gone out of their way to make it look very clean and crisp. Unlike the very clinical rooms of Portal, Portal 2 has massive set pieces to move as your playing, it could be a wall or a whole segment of the puzzle but at no point did I ever see it struggle to keep the framerate in check.

Controls
The original game was on the PC and controlled by mouse and keyboard, while I played Portal 2 on the Xbox (also available on PS3). The game controls pretty similarly and given the choice I think I like the console version better, each portal gets assigned a separate shoulder button and you use the much practised one joystick to move one joystick to look setup. So nothing that hard to get used to and any new player should be able to pick it up fairly quick.

Hello guys and welcome to my very first game review!

I'm hoping to do many more reviews of other games and

such but for now im starting out with portal 2!

Please notice that this is my review and this is how

I played and noticed things in this game. Lets get

started

Facts:
Portal 2 is a sequel to to the first portal game made by Valve in October 9 ,2007 in the "Orange box". Portal was quickly becoming a very popular PC game after it was released on Steam for free during its release. It was released on steam for free after its released making it one of the most popular games searched on youtube, because people needed help with a bunch of levels.

What portal is about:

Portal is a singleplayer/ Multiplayer (in portal 2 theres a multiplayer option) puzzle game. Some levels are challenging some are easy. the hard ones were more fun for me as they were more of a challenge, the game starts out easy and has a great story line with it. I suggest you pick up portal 1 before playing the second one as you will not understand most of the character development in the second if you dont play the first one. The game is about you in a weird testing chamber with a portal gun that shoots portals. One orange and one blue. In the first story you're accompanied by a robot glados. She ends up trying to kill you at the end of portal 1. After you succeed she will then die, or so you think...

Getting into the story more:

In the beginning of the second portal you wake up after being in a deep sleep. You hear a voice, it is Wheatly he is really a bad guy. And at the end of the story he tries to kill you. Glados ends up coming back to life after Wheatly hits a wrong switch and turns her power back up.

Review Time!:

In the very beginning of the single player story, the game tries to show you what happened after you destroyed glados. A robot (Wheatly) is trying to be as nice as he can to you because he wants to team up with you. This makes you believe he is trying to help you unlike glados. I mean no one can be worse than glados, right? Just like portal 1 this game is full of great voice acting, great graphics, amazing lighting, and witty comments from the robots. In the beginning Wheatly and you find a portal gun, he tells you to run a practice course to get used to the gun in case you never played portal 1. That helped me as i never bought portal 1 until i beat portal 2 which i suggest you guys don't do. For those skeptical about not being smart enough to figure out a puzzle thats fine, if you're stuck just look up your level and you'll find hundreds of tutorials
Even for you portal legends and beasts portal 2 is a game for you.

The final decision:

If you like fun puzzles and are just tired of other games portal 2 is the game for you. This game will give you a good 7-11 hours of great fun with portals. If you buy more than 5-10 games a year Portal 2 is one game you should definitely pick this game up

If you buy around 2-4 games a year and are not into puzzle games like portal i suggest you do not buy it, but at least give it a try.

Lego Batman The Video Game

Gametrailers wrote Gotham has been transformed into bricks! Play through Batman's adventures and take down Gotham's villains.

I would say that this game was really fun to play with my brother. Like the other Lego games, you get to play as Lego characters from the said theme like Batman, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones. I would say that this game was probably the best out of all them customization wise but only a 4/5 on originality because there are sooo many Lego games.

You can play as over 48 characters, 10 planes, and 10 boats all from the Batman comics and movies. Like I said before, there is A LOT more customization in this game rather than the previous games. You can create your own character and play around with him on levels or in the Batcave/Arkham Asylum.

Some of the most iconic villains in this game are, The Joker, Harley Quinn, The Riddler, The Penguin, and Mr. Freeze, along with the heroes, Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and Nightwing.

I would give this game a 9/10 just because Batman is awesome and this game is awesome.

Synopsis
As the sequel to Battlefield Bad Company, you play as the character Marlowe in the squad Bad Company. Each mission is divided into a series of objectives, often interspersed with cut scenes which simulate the style of films. You also get to use a wide variety of weaponry as you play through you can gain many different weapons to kill the enemies and find out what is going on with this new nuclear weapon.
For the majority of the single player campaign, the player controls Private Preston Marlowe. Marlowe is part of a squad formerly representing a misfit company in a fictional United States Army battalion known as "Bad Company". Other members of the squad include technology expert Private Terrance Sweetwater, demolitions specialist Private George Haggard Jr., and squad leader Sergeant Samuel Redford. The squad, escaping with gold in the previous game but believed to be caught soon thereafter, now work on a special assignment for the Army in securing a dangerous Scalar technology.

Story
The game setting began in 1944 and you were a group of commandos. Your first mission was to go into a japanese island as a part of a mission called Operation Aurora. There mission was to find the japanese scientist who knew about the new weapon called "The Black Weapon". They were going to exit the island but the scientist said that wouldnt happen and warned them about it. The team soom found out why that was true. From there you are back to the normal squad being "Bad Company" and they are supposed to make there way through many jungles and towns.

Gameplay
The gameplay was quite good if you ask me. The missions where fun and and had a good challenge to them. I didnt like the fact that there were only 13 missions so it seemed pretty short. The characters had very good acting and very good voice, along with good looking features to them. Multiplayer is also quite fun. You have a wide variety of guns attachments and much more! You have a few fun types of game types to play.

Graphics
Graphics where great and very realistic. Another good feature to it is the building destruction and buildings being able to crash to the ground which is awesome! Guns have good details to them along with the vehicles. Most guns sound real also along with guns on vehicles. I also hear about people not liking the graphics because there used to the COD graphics, as you get used to it its very fun and alot better than COD!

Rating
9.5/10 only problem to me is short campaign.
