if you have anything modded on your xbox, or anything that would make microsoft want to ban you, this is what you should do!
1. Transfer everything off your hard drive to another storage device!
2. make sure you have everything on your storage device, then clear everthing off of your hard drive
3. download the update onto the cleared hard drive
4. put everything back onto the hard drive.
would this work?! i think yes, but i am searching around to find out if it actually will. if i am wrong please tell me so i can edit this! if you have 11th on COD, you might want to derank yourself if you have a jtag, or get someone to do it for you(there are plenty of people)

If you have modded anything MS already knows about it so i think moving it to a new hard drive won't help
They can look up just about anything related to your gamertag I.E. Gamerscore, sent messages, received messages, gamerzone (Cheater FTW), basically if you have modded and they are going to do a ban wave I think you are screwed
