achi only uses 3000w total voltage.
5k is plenty, i have a similiar set up using a transformer.
my breaker box is also running the normal double pole 30amp breaker, i never blow fuses wven with other stations like t8280 hooked up to same line.
this is the model i use :http://www.diy-buy.com/3000w-power-converter-voltage-toroidal-transformer-110v-to-220v-for-achi-ir-pro-sc_p6578.html
On a side note,
i may be interested in a few oterh things you have for sale if you have a discounted price
-Xbox 360 motherboard support jig
-Reballing jig w/ stencils for all Xbox 360 BGA chips
-Heat directly reballing stencils for Xbox 360 BGAs
-4 or 5 bottles of no clean/no residue Kester 959T flux
-Foil tape
-Kapton high temperature tape
-.6mm & .45mm solder balls
-Et cetera...

Make sure the wire is 10/3 because the AWG changes with the amperage

you dont have to do that unless your running a 220v direct line, if your using the transformer it will work with 20amp as thats what the transformer was designed for to do.

What Mafia said is true, I was running on 20 with no issues. You won't need to change anything, the transformer will work on any standard household plug.
