Well as the history of the site increases, what is considered a "high" post count changes. When I first joined, around 800 posts was the average amount. Now it seems like every other member has 3,000+ posts. It's just a natural change and you have to accept that.

Personally, I don't like the idea of post count. My reasoning is that it isn't an accurate measure of someone's contribution. A member can have 6,000+ posts and contributed absolutely nothing. But on the other hand, a member can have 200 posts and be an MVC.

So that deals with that issue. As for the quality of the site/members declining, many cool people have left since I've been here. On the other hand, many cool people have joined. It's whatever.
