That makes no sense. Allen went in there undercover to stop Makarov. But Allen was compromised and killed to start war.
He did not went in there to stop Makarov. He was trying to gain his trust and then find out more what he is planning. Then Makarov found out during the mission and killed him. And that did make sense. The CIA sent Allen to join Makarov and find out more about him by getting in his squad and all that. He did that. But during the shootings Makorav knew that Allen was CIA. So at the end of the mission he killed him and that started war. And Shepard could have payed Makorav to kill the people at the russian airport and blame it on the americans somehow. But then when Makorav found out about Allen being CIA he killed him at the end and then told Shepard which made things easier for them. It even says Makarov kills for money.

Either option would have been better than what they had. There was no point to the slaughter, it did nothing for the game.
Just my opinion
Groovy
i disagree. i think that the slaughter helped Makarov prove his point and dig the hatred of Russia (in the game) even deeper.
i kinda liked the mission. it felt.... unusual killing innocent people.
besides, if your not old enough to handle the mission, u shouldn't be playing the game then...

I don't see a problem with it. The game warns you when you first put it in. If you said you didn't mind then you're the one at fault because you're an ignorant person who was warned by the game that the campaign contains controversial levels and if you didn't want to see them you didn't have to. So in my opinion nobody has ANYTHING to complain about since they had the option to skip it and they chose not to. And besides, it's only a game
On another note, that 1 level basically sets up the story for the entire game. Why else would we be chasing after some random Russian who killed a bunch of Russian people. So if you're going to complain about how messed up that level was, just think about the fact that it is your fault since you had the option to skip it.

why is this such a big deal? yeah theres no real point in the mission but who cares its a video game get over it and stop complaining there is a warning sign at the beggining of the game and if you dont want to play that mission you accept the thing or whatever so i dont understand why people are making such a big deal over a mission in a video game like come on think about it for a good minute its rediculas if you dont want to play a violent game dont buy it and that mission is just like every other mission exept the people you kill dont have guns in all the other missions you pretty much slaughter a bunch of russians unless you havent beaten the game. thats my opinion.

Ok everyone,i know that it is only a game,i just think that it was a pointless mission to add in,they could have done without it. The game would probs have been released in Russia if this mission wasnt in the game.

But do we care about the Russians? NO. They know they are terrorists but they don't want their people to know. I hated the Russians since i said my first words. They Recall every game that gives Russia a bad name for a reason. They are bad but they just can't tell their people about it.....haha that is what i think. But why is it called no russian? No it is not because of don't kill any russians.....i heard that from a friend and he is wrong. So why is it called "No Russian"?
