Wasn't sure to put this in either General discussions or Milestones and Achievements (since it's normally consists of TTG related M&A) so if i am in the wrong Forum then just move it.
Anyway a brief story:
I was a pretty good swimmer when i was a bit younger and had very good performances even representing my country (Jamaica) in Age Group events. I was somewhat inhury/sick prone and had some nags here and there but i was fully recovered and my confidence level was at an all time high at the start of the season. And then i got another injury that forced me to be unable to even properly exercise for over a year and subsequent attempts of coming back in the future years had set backs due to sporting (tore ligaments in foot during dryland training after a chlorine leak closed the pool) and non sporting (currently recovering from a second surgery in 5 months due to a hernia found). So in the end i gave up being an athlete in the sport with lost hopes and dreams.
Anyway my love for the sport still remained and i even made being a swim coach my career goal, so i finished my first year of a 4 year degree in Sports Sciences. And over the weekend i completed my FINA Certification and is now a Level 1 Swim Coach (basically teach Novices to those who are beginning to compete internationally). So i though i should tell you all of my accomplishment, it will takes years for me to actually be a good coach but at least i'm taking the right steps
