Take a Aurora for example.
Choose i7 processor. What i7 type do you get? Well ofcourse the 2.66GHz.
3GB Ram DDR3
500GB hard drive.
Dual graphic cards. BUT. It's the 5670...
Not good.
Take a Dell Studio 17 and customize it after your personal needs.

Better value for money not really, a 470 / 480 will out preform the 5800 series, only downside is the Nvidia cards run at 93degrees, which is a ton of heat.
Only reason to buy a 5800 series is if your worried about temps , and your playing games with a lot of Vram like GTA4
