So today I purchased my first JTAG, a xenon to be exact, running the 12625 dashboard.

It seems to be working smoothly, until I install freestyle dash 2.0, and try to use dashlaunch 2.2 to make freestyle load when my xbox boots. I go through all the steps answering the questions dashlaunch has, and then reboot my xbox. Now, whenever I turn it on, the swirly xbox logo starts, and then freezes when it says Xbox 360. I have tried removing the hard drive and everything, same thing happens.

I looked around for a bit, and came to the conclusion i may need to create a new freeboot image and flash it back onto my JTAG to remove the harm I've done. But then I realized, I do not have the NAND. I went into Xell and found the CPU Key and all, but that doesn't seem like it'll help me.

What should I do? I am not getting any responses from the person who sold this to me about sending me the NAND, so that may be out of the question.

Alright an update on my issue:

I tried to flash it with a dummy NAND and freeboot 12625 through Xell, everything seemed to go smoothly.

Now, when I try to turn it on, I get Christmas lights. And if I try to boot into Xell, the disk tray comes out, and the ring of lights circles around for a few seconds and then turns off completely, with the xbox still running.

Where do I go from here =(

You need to put a launch.ini on the root of your HDD or USB.

The xbox is trying to load the dashboard in the launch.ini but can't find it. If you have it on the root, you need to edit it.

Open it in notepad and change the paths so they are correct.

But in the second part of my post, i stated that now I have the Christmas lights, and can no longer boot into Xell. Not sure what to do about that.

Oh didn't see that. Are you sure it is xmas lights? Xmas lights is where the ROL will flash green and red the whole time and nothing will happen.

Either way, you flashed an image that is bad and it needs to be reflashed manually. If you want, I have a shop in the marketplace that can do it.

First you will need to rebuild your NAND by erasing completely, flash xell and than build a donor image

Yeah I don't really have the technical skills required to extract the NAND on my own, and the person I bought this from has suddenly disappeared on me, and is no longer responding to my calls so I may have to look to a professional for help with this. What kind of price are we talking for this service?

ok if u dont have your original nand then find a donor nand for your console then use flash tools and inject your keyvault console info and your dvd key then use jtag tool and make your 12625 image and then save that as updflash.bin and move that over to a usb with that file only no others and then boot into xell and let it update and then just power cycle for abot 45 seconds and then boot into the dashboard on 12625 and then edit your launch.ini for where u want it to boot or wat u want it to boot and after that u should be good to go

you have a bad nand flash. probably have the wrong cpu key! u need to make lots of backups to what little files you have on your pc regarding your jtag. that is the only thing that will save you now.
