You do crouch elevators exactly the same as prone elevators only you crouch, not prone. They are a little harder because you move more when crouched and less when in prone so its harder to hit the elevator

They are hard to learn, once you understand it, you will be elevating in games and all over the place.

exactly, that is the only thing. They may take a bit longer. And also when in prone if you move the slightest bit your crosshairs will shake or your scope will go down. When crouching, it doesn't so you don't know if you moved. That's why I find prone the easiest.
