The day before yesterday, Chris was 7 years old. Next year, she'll turn 10. How is this possible?

Damn number 8 is hard! Btw I think you have the question wrong..becasue I've heard of one similar.
The one I've heard: There are three switches downstairs. Each corresponds to one of the three light bulbs in the attic. You can turn the switches on and off and leave them in any position.
How would you identify which switch corresponds to which light bulb, if you are only allowed one trip upstairs?
Now I know the answer to that one.
Answer to that one:
Turn switch A on and then wait for a couple minutes.

Turn switch A off and switch B on.

Go to the attic, one light bulb should be on, that's switch B.

Now feel the light bulbs, one should still be warm from having been turned on and then off, that's switch A.

The one that's off and cool is switch C.
