Now ive got the dvd drive to put in and now i need to retrieve the dvd key from the motherboard by doing a jtag. its still have the first dashboard. im just trying to jtag it just to get the dvd key and then flash the drive and go online with it without it being a jtag. any help would be helpful.

Only exploitable motherboards can be jtagged to retrieve the drive key.

You must have the dashboard 2.0.7371.0 or lower, if not you can never get your drive key without having the original disk drive.

Hope this helps...........

Your going to need to have the correct tools to dump the nand. Do you have experience in soldering?

Also you need an lpt cable OR a nand-x pro kit by team xecuter, You will also need some resistors if your going lpt method. I would recommend ordering a nand-x pro as it is much faster and comes with everything you need to extract your keys.

Its really not worth your time or money to just make a flashed xbox and "ruin a jtag". You should sell it to someone who wants the jtaggable motherboard and buy one with a drive already in the console. You should also wait for LT+ 2.0 to be released as it would be the most safe for xbl.

If I were you I would just jtag it. Read the nand, write xell to get the cpu key. then in 360 flash tool you can get the dvd key and osig. then you just spoof the drive you have. Whatever you do though dont update. dont ruin a jtag.
