Game Information
Release Date: November 11th 2008
Developed By: Activision / Treyarch
Genre: First Person Shooter
Platform: Cross Platform
Age Restrictions: 17+ (Mature)
Synopsis(Wikipedia)
World at War is a game that is part of the Call of Duty series, features a more mature theme than previous installments. The game is also open-ended, as there are multiple ways to complete objectives. The gameplay of World at War shares several features with previous iterations of the franchise. Players fight alongside AI-controlled teammates. They help during the game's missions by providing cover fire, shooting down enemies, and clearing rooms for entry.
Plot (Campaign)
Ok well I think a lot of people will agree with me on this that Treyarch by far has the most impressive campaigns out of all of the Call of Duty series. In World at War you experience some of the greatest events in the "Great War" of World War II. Personally i think World War II was when men were men and it meant a lot to fight for your country when your 17 (at least for my fellow Americans). I feel that this campaign gives you the most realistic experience of WWII that you can get other than talking to the Veterans.In this campaign you go all across different fronts of the war from the American front in the Pacific where you fight to set back the Imperial Army all the way to Europe where you become a part of at what once looked like a defeated Russia at the time but then you come out of the depths of the war and conquer the Nazi Germany army led by Hitler. Everything about this campaign is simply amazing. Im only 18 but i feel this is the most accurate detail of WWII that you can find in a first person shooter. If you want to experience WWII in your own personal way play this game and you will witness all the twist and turns that occurred back in World War II. Personally i feel that this campaign beats the crap out of Black Ops. SO if you haven't played it yet...what are you waiting for!!
Campaign Gameplay
Can't really say anything bad about the gameplay you get to use a variety of weapons and you can tell which ones you like and which ones not so much i love the PPSH-41. You will barely find any repetition throughout the campaign all the missions are unique and there are missions where you get to operate vehicles for example there's one mission when your Russian and you get to drive a tank for most of the mission it's not just one shot and done wit the tanks either you get to drive and shoot them with very little restrictions on where you can go.
Multiplayer
World at War multiplayer consists of 10 prestiges with 65 levels per prestige. Multilayer consists of all the basic game types and the weapons are almost identical to that of the ones you can use in the campaign. You can also unlock a lot more attachments than previous Call of Duty's. You can also enjoy a lot of perks there can give you an advantage when playing online.
Nazi Zombies
This has undoubtedly been the most greatest "Extra" in any Call of Duty" it has probably increased the sales of World at War greatly. Play 4 zombie maps each varying in size, weapons, and extra features such as Pack-a-Punching.It is similar to the "Horde" feature in Gears of War except you can earn points for kills and hits and also there are different power-ups such as "Max-ammo" "Double Points" and "Nuke". You can not beat Nazi Zombies it is endless waves of the undead coming with increasing difficulty every round. If your not into campaign this game is worth buying just for this feature.
Graphics
Graphics aren't as good Infinity Ward's but still arent half bad for 2008 so im not to high on them but they do get the job done and there not eye burning either so there pretty decent.
Rating: 9
Great gameplay for the campaign decent multiplayer and ok graphics and an awesome extra in Nazi Zombies is what makes me give this a 9.

Multiplayer: Consists of 10 prestige's? How come you can have 11 then? & you can have 11! Because you hack to 11th, rank 1, then go on multiplayer and it stays, you go into another hacked lobby and get 11th 65! and go to multiplayer again and it says, corruption, restored to latest rank data: 11th prestige rank 1

This game was a lot more boring a couple days ago. Every match you got into was hacked but now there was an update I believe which I would have to give the multiplayer another try. The campaign and nazi zombies are also great.

Campaign = Awesome! I played non-stop 4-6 hours to beat it on Hardened.
Multiplayer = Not my favorite.
Zombies = Best part of this game.
Overall = 5/10
