In order to stop overheating, I just take my Xbox apart to the motherboard and its case and run it that way. It lets more cool air from the basement in ;)

powerskater wrote Hey does somebody know how much hours per day I can play with my jtag for it not to overheat

1. Keep it well ventilated - don't just stick it in some hole in your entertainment center
2. Keep it laying down on it's side - It really does make about a 4 degree Centigrade difference on the GPU
3. Blow some compressed air into it once a week.
4. DO NOT lay it on carpet - blocks the ventilation holes and sucks crap into console.

Should be able to run it as much as you want - mine(5 of them) all run 24 hours a day as media center extenders.

This is just a theory of mine, but don't play it hard for x number of hours and then just shut it off smoking hot. Exit back to NXE dash and let it run for 10 minutes to cool back down to 80deg C before shutting off. That should help minimize warpage on the PCB.

I Will make sure to do this all the time lol

But I dont Understand why there so Hot
Mine runs for 16hrs a day and never goes over 59 degrees...???
I noticed that urs overheat a lot and ur 80 degrees is High for a cool down....I dont Know...mine runs cool no matter what....80 degrees for me would blow my jtag up....
Just dont know why ur jtags run so hot..just asking???
they shouldnt be Healthy at standard 80 degrees???

Well, I would tend to agree with you except that these are Xenon consoles. What M$ was thinking I have no idea, but 80C,75C,78C are the set-points for the CPU,GPU,Ram respectively (you can check that in the SMC Configuration Editor of 360 Flash Tool on any Xenon image if you don't believe me) with Thermal Shutdown occurring at 100C,100C,102C. That's one of the reasons we're offering the talismoons as they really do lower the temps. It's not that OUR JTAG's run that hot, it's that Xenon consoles run that hot. That's why adequate ventilation is so critical!

It depends on their shipment.

If they have a good shipment of consoles. Then that means a fast sales time.

Ur Right in a sense but I have a Xexon that was Done Respectivly and It has Never gave Me any Problems and Stays Under 59 Degrees...Maybe My Jtag Is just that awesome like My Badge.....LOL.....But good Thing Going Here and Maybe you Will Find A better solution for The problem....Plus....i install Freestyledash on My console For the simple Facxt that u can Adjust your Fan speed....I hope that U install and Uninstall Freestyle Dash To adjust The Fan Before u send Them out Right????? Because I know Someone Personally That Recieved one From U and I had Them Install Freestyle to adjust there fan speed because there was no Fan speed...lol....Henece it was running around 82 degrees...not Flaming but just a suggestion...
All you have to do is run the program, adjust and take out then ship....Just so you Know the fan speed will be at 100

Well they do have the new fans.

So they don't have to worry about it with the new fans in them.
