You want the 2500K instead of the 2600K unless you plan on using heavily threaded applications like video editors or encoders. You won't see any performance difference between the two.
This build would easily fit in a mid-tower case (like the CM Storm Sniper if you like the HAF styling), but if you want the massive full-tower, that's your choice.
Forget that PSU, you need a better unit with a lower wattage. A 650 watt will handle two 6950s, which are the best cards for the money right now, but a 750 watt will allow for a lot of wiggle-room. I suggest this one: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Always worth the premium. 80+ Gold certified so you save on your power bill, modular for a tidy case, and silent. It won't kill all of your parts either .
As for the sound card, you need nice, audiophile grade headphones to realize the benefits here. I am an audio enthusiast, so I can help you here. Are you planning on listening to music, too?
The 550 Ti won't get you very far. To match the rest of the build I would go with 2 AMD 6950s. Although, one will be enough to play the latest and greatest games at good FPS and quality. 2 will destroy anything and everything to come for a long time. You can always upgrade to two in the future, if you want.
2 SSDs might not be the best choice, here. Save the money and buy one, but also get 2 Samsung Spinpoint F3s in RAID 0. That way you can use the SSD caching of Z68 boards and get 2 TB of fast storage. If you want better data security, you can set up a 5400 rpm 2TB WD Green drive to backup the 2 F3s.
Instead of that memory, get this when they go back in stock:

Or some HyperX Blus. Both have lower latency (7 instead of 9, which is much better). If you need more than 4GB, just get 2 sets. 4 GB of RAM is more than enough to handle any modern game.
You definitely need a CPU cooler, and for this build I suggest the Hyper 212+ or if you want the best possible performance without custom water cooling, go with the Noctua NH-D14.
This computer is more than good enough for gaming and is actually way more than just enough. You can save a lot of money by getting lower-end parts if you need to save the money.

- Get an i5 2500k if you are going to be gaming, there is only a slight difference between the to.
- Get a 650 wat PSU, 950 is WAY overkill.
- Take away that sound card, it's unneeded.
- Get a better video card..550 ti is going to struggle on newer games.
And where is your cpu cooler? You're going to spend over a grand and get a i5 2500k ( which means it's fully unlockable ) and you are not going to get one? really?

You should really do some research before even selecting parts.

Thanks alot And I've already selected a CPU cooler with three heat sinks, sorry I forgot to add that, and im looking for a little future proofing that's why I'm going for the i7 and so much ram. Thanks again guys.

3 Heatsinks... What? I want to see.
Future-proofing is essentially impossible. Bulldozer is being released by AMD in the very near future and there is quite a possibility that it will blow your i7 away in performance for the money. If you want to make your system last as long as possible, wait to see what AMDs release holds. Otherwise, new cards will be released, the price of RAM will keep dropping and its speed will keep increasing, hard drive density will drastically increase and SSDs will become relatively cheaper, faster, bigger, and more economical, new I/O standards will arise, and monitors will keep falling in price and increasing in PPI. I say spend around $1500 today and save the rest for the latest and greatest upgrades that will come around, because you WILL want them! That is why I believe the 2500K and a 6950 are the best combo to date.

Pineapplejunky wrote Yer i sure will look out for that AMD you were talking about you've been a great help i'll rep you as well
oh... here is that cpu cooler i was talking about [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
The coolermaster v8 is TERRIBLE for the price.
The hyper 212 does a better job than that, and it's also A LOT smaller.
But, if you're going to spend that much on a heatsink then get a noctua DH-14..probably the best thing you can get for your price range and is way better than that v8.

I second this motion! The performance of air coolers is dependent on surface area, fin density, air flow (CFM, static pressure, etc.), and thermal compound. With the D14, you get the best of all of those. Noctua's fans may not be beautiful to some tastes, but they are some of the best on the market. The fans included are worth around 45 bucks! It also comes with some good thermal paste, which would set you back 15 bucks for some Arctic Silver 5. All things considered, the NH-D14 is the only heatsink I ever recommend above the Hyper 212+.
