it was a bigger deal before the patch but you might get lucky unless an admin. sees it and gets suspicious ;)

I got slapped with tampering games, only game I had modded was MW2 with all challenges and spinning tenth. I got perm banned. New account, lost 6 months gold, lost my tenth prestige, etc, I'm left with nothing.

I think they can't ban you for it.
Because how do they know that you didn't get to one of those modded games by accident? How do they know that you actually even wanted it? They don't.
So nope, I don't think they're banning for it.

Nonetheless you can get banned, it states on the ToU not to take part in any mods...even by accident
