Koss Portapros! They are only 25 bucks, too! Honestly they are the only headphones I would buy under 100 bucks. I am an audiophile/head-fi'er, so I know what I am talking about. Koss' design is over 25 years old, and has a lifetime warranty to boot. I actually auditioned my Portapros against the Beats Solos, and from un unbiased perspective, the Portapros destroyed them in treble and upper mid quality, bass clarity and quality (The Beats had "more" bass, but as is usually the case with Beats, the bass and mids sounded muddy and muffled.) The Portapros are also surprisingly very well-built and very small in their collapsed position.

Bottom line, if you want the best sound quality on a budget, the Portapros are the best out there. They sound better than my $80 Klipsch Image S4s and go toe to toe with my ATH-M50s ($150) in a few areas. if you feel like 25 bucks is not enough to spend, you can give them a boost with a Fiio L1 or L3 line-out dock and a Fiio E5 amplifier. Even if you bought all of those, you would only spend 60 bucks. The line-out cable bypasses the low-quality amp in an iDevice with a dock connector and gives an unamped analog signal to a higher-quality externa amp. The LOD and the amp clear up the overall sound and give the bass a great boost! Although, the Portapros on their own are perfectly fine without the amp.

Not particularly, I don't care much for rep. I honestly just like helping people, especially with computers and audio.

And people REALLY need to stop saying, "get this, its good, i have it." Does that actually give a reason to buy it? If you can't back up what you are recommending, just don't even post. "Sony ones" is not specific enough and Sony is not the best headphone manufacturer. They are pretty mediocre. And Turtle Beaches for music? Are you joking? I have nothing to say to you.

I don't think there are legitimate Beats for under 70 bucks. They still would not be worth it. Skullcandies are trash and I don't even want to talk about them. They are just incredibly bad.
