A 440? You'll be able to play COD and starcraft with that card on low-medium resolution and settings.
In this moment in time i wouldn't recommend anything under a 6870/560.

With those cards ^, you'll be able to max out COD ( i'm not sure about SC, never played it before) with above 60 fps easily at 1920 x 1080 resolutions. You'll also be able to play Battlefield 3 when it comes out.
In this moment in time i wouldn't recommend anything under a 6870/560.

The 6870 is perfect! Although, i would go with the XFX 6870 because it has a LIFETIME warranty
