Hacker group LulzSec has reportedly released a file containing Xbox LIVE user information along with details from PayPal, Twitter and Facebook.

The amount of information released has yet to be verified, but there seems to be no theme behind those gamers whose information has been stolen. Everyone from casual to hardcore gamers could possibly have had their details compromised.

The group uploaded a file containing usersnames and password last night. It is noted that the file has since been removed, although LulzSec have reported that the file has recieved a fair few hits before its removal.

As with most of LulzSec activity it was first reported via it's Twitter page where they said they were going to target Facebook and Social Networking accounts.

Currently Microsoft have said nothing about the possible breach, stay tuned and we'll update you as soon as we know more.

Microsoft didn't get hacked Lulzsec hacked email addresses and passwords from some site and tell everyone to try the details for XBL accounts, paypal etc. They didn't hack XBL.

haha yh if you didnt notice, the whole of xbox live didnt crumble down so bad that they had to completely re-create the whole server unlike sony. xbox will still outsell sony on consoles this month anyway, as they have the whole year.
