The reason I created this is because I DON'T want people to be getting banned and rep resested because that puts more work on the staff. Second is because I've been seeing lately alot of people not knowing what reputation is so this would be a great guide for them to get to know what is and to NOT abuse it!
What is reputation?
Reputation - a favorable and publicly recognized name or standing for merit, achievement, reliability, etc.
How earn reputation?
There is 2 ways. The first way is by getting it from another user for maybe like making a good topic/post or helping someone. The second way is by reaching a certain amount of post's every 25 post's you make you earn one reputation power. But if your getting repped by someone else every 100 Reputation Points gets you 1 reputation power.
How to rep somebody?
First you go to there post. Then were you see this [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] now click that. Then a mini screen will pop up looking like this now from there you can ethier -rep some body or +rep somebody and also decide of how many points you can give them deciding on the quality of the post they think is necessary . But, there's a limit! You have to wait 1 minute per person you rep and you cant rep the same person twice in a row. You have the maxium of 10 people per day.
Reputation abusing?
Okay this is what you DON'T wanna do. First thing is to rep boost which is keep repping your friends for useless post's and so you can get a high repuation cause that WILL get you banned or rep reseted and you wont have anymore rep at all so dont try that. Second is abusing the rep for example you keep on negtively repping someone's post's to make them go back down to zero that is abuse and if that user reports that to staff, you COULD get banned. So don't try though's.
Not to spam?
First off i bet your all wondering what does spamming have to do with this? Well if you think about it when you spam your most likely going to receive negative reputation points so hopefully this will reduce the spam and if you make good post's and what not then you might get repped good for it and hopefully get yourself well known in the community!
