ok so i am an xbox addict, play A LOT. and lets see, my xbox runs louder than a big fan, makes crunching noises when turning it's gears. It overheats ever 5-15 minutes 30 on a good day. half red ring. I keep it semi-in the open with a fan blowing on it and pushing the hot air out. i cannot afford a new one right now, what should i do? oh yeah, it barely reads disks and alot of times the tray doesnt open.

I could repair it if you like, but if you don't want me to then your going to have to buy a new one, it takes alot of time and skill to repair an xbox with that many faulties.

idk dude, it just overheated 3 more times. i think ill just keep dropping the hint to my dad and maybe ill cut a deal for the new one haha or ill just take this one and toss it into a lake, maybe that will fix it haha

that means you left it on a long time or you have too many electronics in your room that makes it hot

i repair xboxs in my local area for like friends...i no that doesn't help you but there are plenty of repair shops in the marketplace you should check them out
