Hey guys i was just wondering if anyone knew this answer.

so i am getting a tattoo am 15 years old and when i went to a tattoo shop they said i need a parent with me ( i obviously knew this ) but what i want to know is could my brother go with me hes 23 years old and has a tattoo and also he has ID ( Identification ) or has it got to be my mum or dad cause i really want this tattoo will +rep for help!

It depends on the states. In Arizona you just have to have a letter with your parents sig.

(assuming you live in America)

a professional tattooist can not by law tattoo any one under the age of 18, regardless if they have a parent with them or not.

Technically it has to be a legal guardian. If your brother happens to be your god father though then y4es you can do that.

Some shops will kind of "look the other way" and give you a tattoo if you have the rite amount of money with you in CASH.

When you get a tattoo get something that you know is going to have value to you 30 years in the future. IE. Don't get your girlfriends face or name or something that only applies to you in the present. I wouldn't recommend getting XBOX tattooed across your chest or anything like that. (But it's your choice not mine.)

Not true. it varies by state. California you can get a tattoo when you are 16 and have a parents consent.
