i just want windows vista or 7 on my computer because i hate windows xp and cant install ubuntu

no you cant. well you can but it will be very unstable. i recommend buying more ram for it. like another 2 gigs of it. probably like 30 bucks. if you can afford windows 7 i'm pretty sure you can afford ram.

Windows 7 system requirements

If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here's what it takes:

1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor

1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)

16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)

DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

Yeah you can run it, it wont be maximum efficiency obviously, but it will work

Should be fine man. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit on just under 800mb of RAM. Just don't have too many things open at once and it'll be fine.

It won't let you install 64 bit if you don't have the proper system requirements.
