Very simple, only effects I see included are effects that can be done by accessing Blending options. You need to expand the range of effects you include on your graphics, this way it'll help yourself as you'll get better feedback and opinions. Good to see you used the pattern overlay but if I were you I'd consider lowering the opacity of the pattern, it looks too heavy and strong. On the background layer change the stroke down to 1 or 2 pt and on the text layer change the opacity of the stroke down to around 30pt. Also choose a thinner pattern on the background. Everything's over-run by black lines and black strokes, it makes the red background hard to notice. Well done though, just continue creating. ;)
