Looks good, maybe start doing a different style and change the colour of the smoke/cloud effect. To do this go to CTRL+U when you have highlighted the background cloud layer. This will allow you to change the colour, saturation and lightness of the clouds. I light your techniques used though, once again they are very good and you should maybe open a graphics show, but first of all try something different with the image renders. Good work though, keep attempting.

I would advise against using lens flares, try using something else for lighting like a fractal.

I like the 3rd one the best.

If you still have the fill open try adding some flames under the clouds layer and under the soldier, reduce the cloud opacity if you do that.

Overall: 8/10 good work

Maybe add a light pattern over them and mess with some textures.

Otherwise keep it up bro.

Over time everyone gets better ;)
