Anything over 4 cores is useless for gaming since games are not well-threaded. The better choice would have been an Intel 2500K quad-core or a Phenom II X4 955 for a tighter budget. You would see almost no gaming difference between the two.

You can just put together your own gaming PC which will be better and cheaper than that piece of crap you're going to buy, the specs on that PC are terrible and it's 1,300, you'll be wasting half you money on nothing.
