Requesting people initially to send as a gift = a red flag to 99% of the people and 99.999% of those times = a scammer

They were directly stating facts and information based on prior experience.

I dont feel I'm abusing rep at all in doing that. They he was attacking me. How is that fair. I do understand that a lot of scammers do ask for money as a gift. I know that. I respect them enough that they are trusted sellers and if I ever needed something I would consider buying from them. I need vouches. Not people telling me top shut up and state that I'm scamming. Look at all the proof.


I have to start somewhere ICY. How can I become trusted enough to sell one console? I posted my ebay up and I have Over 80 positive feedback and more than 30 of them from items I have sold. I would never scam anybody so I have modified my post to allow potential buyers to pay as goods. This post seems almost useless now that I have mods telling me to shut up, sspecially "ICY" the guy that everybody on ttg recognizes.

This is a little upsetting as I put hard work into making the jtag and other useful things I have provided for the community.

Yourself and ANYONE who was starting the flame war that was about to ensue was who that was directed at.

I'm not going to allow "he said, she said" BS to take place here on TTG if I have a say in it (which I currently do)...

You have more than enough proof to support your sale...where you messed up was initially requesting a gift payment.

I request gift payments and I also offer goods/service payments for a % more to cover the fees that I get charged.

That's something that you might want to think about, and it gives them that "warm fuzzy" that you will gladly allow them the buyer comfort as long as you get the $$ that you are asking out of the sale.

Good luck with your sale, keep your head up, and do good things...that's all I am asking.

Basically the reasoning I changed it to gift only was I was a little pissed that the first guy to say he was interested wanted me to send proof pics with his name on it. Then I said no! and he was wanting to buy the jtag and sent me an echeck and wanted it shipped before the check cleared.


Anyway I'm glad this is all cleared up and I hope I can get a couple consoles sold because I'm wanting to get a new tv
