Okay, I've only jtagged about 13 consoles. I've did case mods. I've did 12v fan mods and everything... And now I am finally stuck!
This xenon jtag, which I've had for a while now, has some overheating issue after I did the x-clamp fix! It works fine for about 30 seconds and then after that it begins to sound like a jet engine taking off!
The temperature of the cpu, gpu etc is round about 40 - 50 degrees, so it's fine there... or is it?
I am using arctic silver thermal paste, I have the used the nylon washers and steel washers.
My current thought is
"Perhaps there is too much paste on the chips! Or maybe too little..Hmmm, maybe it's not clean enough or there is something on the chips! I should clean it."
Please, don't tell me stuff like the x-clamp sucks etc, because it most certainly does not! I have fixed about 40 to 50+ consoles, using the x-clamp fix and none of them have RRoD ever since, I have an Xbox from when they where released, and it's in good condition, never broke since!
Can anyone who has experience in this please help me out?
I have never experienced this problem before!
Greatly appreciated!

I had this same problem with my zephyr all I did was tighten down the heatsinks. I'm not saying this will fix it 100% but give it a try. The heatsinks must be making full contact on the chips for them to transfer the heat away. If they're not making full contact you could be getting false temp readings. Making the xbox think it's over heating.

It looks like you have put a little amount of thermal paste on your CPU/GPU.
Try adding more thermal paste to it and tightening the heat sinks all equal.

The heatsinks aren't the problem here, I think the board may be a tad faulty. The console thinks it is overheating so I'm going to cut the trace that goes to the CPU chip.

I've already made sure everything was okay. It was, there is a perfect amount of thermal paste on it, so I think that I'm just going to cut the trace going to the CPU chip, since the overheating error is 0011, and I've tryed reballing, reflowing, tightening it up, adding more paste, taking some away... This is the only way.

You're making this WAY harder than what it really is...
You wanna know why nitz0 > God
Remove the 4 metal washers from the cpu side on the top only, leave the bottom alone...
Make sure you add plenty of paste(thin is not good on xbox 360's)..
Put back together and nitz0=God, no more 2RROD=0011 overheating.
NEVER cut that cpu trace, it's never needed. ;)

Thanks god I'll try that out later and report back with the results.
